Likes

Infrastructure is good , events happen regularly, u get to meet many celebrities on a daily basis
Teachers are very friendly and nice . Placements classes are provided and teaching is good

Dislikes

If even a single penny is left for fees u will not be given the permission to sit in the examinations .

Course Curriculum Overview

Emerging technology has helped us to leap into CSD field.. CSE engineering will help us to know about all the things related to computer systems like AI , blockchain, IOT , cloud computing etc . The curriculum here in CU is adopted from the IITs and they are taught very well here

Internships Opportunities

Interships are something that are generally done by the students in their own ...collg will provide u with the companies but u have to qualify for the interships on their own by having relevant skills ...In courses like HM CU almost gives 100% intership to all the students in various hotels.

Placement Experience

Quite good placements even in this recession period .. highest package is 54 lakhs and the avg is 5-6 lakhs . Due to recession there has been a shortage of companies coming to the collg all over India but the students who are good at their skills are easily getting there jobs .

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees without scholarship is 1.4 lakhs per semester and hostel fees is 1.2 lakhs per year ..but u can get a scholarship upto 100% by giving the CUCET exam online or have less than 25000 rank in jee mains ..u can also get 50% scholarship if u have 90% + in 12th boards .. u have to later maintain this scholarship by keeping ur cgpa above 7.5 .

Campus Life

The best thing about CU is it has the best social life in India .. the environment here in CU is amazing. Events are planned regularly and there are many cultural clubs made for you to join and participate in various events ...

Hostel Facilities

Rooms at every good . A aunty comes regularly for cleaning..good is good ...the vibe is nice ..no ragging...there are options if u want AC or non AC hostels u can get 4 seater and 5 seater rooms ...they are very spacious especially the 5 seater onces are quite nice and spacious..PG and flats are also available nearby u can take a auto and come to the collg by paying 20rs daily

Hostel Fee: INR 89000 per year

Admission

Getting into CU is quite easy just fill the application and then u will have to give a online entrance test which u can give it twice if u want and then all the paper work will be done ..A teacher will be appointed to assist u in all the paper work and u can easily get admitted in CU

Faculty

Ratio is 1:35 and teachers are good and friendly here . Depending upon the size of ur branch and course this ratio is for the CSE branch where the number of students are maximum in some courses the ratio is even 1:15 so it all depends upon ur course and branch . The teaching of teachers is quite nice and they teach things nicely. The teachers here in cu are very approachable.

IIT Ropar- Best new gen IIT?

Likes

Campus was amazing, Size was around 548 acres.
Campus located in Ropar pretty close to Chandigarh giving us location benifits.
Placement opportunities especially for CSE students were broad. Research opportunities were great.

Dislikes

Core Branches placements lacked as compared to CSE.
Lesser opportunities as compared to prime located IITS like IIT Delhi. Even IIT Hyderabad regarless of the ranking has much more opportunities as corporate is there in Hyderabad more than Ropar and Chandigarh.
Weather was quite extreme. No ACs in hostels.

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good. The claimed average package is 25 Lacs these days. But the actual median package is for non CSE branch was as low as 8-9 LPA. Also international package boosts the avaerage package component.

CGC Landran - College with good opportunities in low budgets.

Likes

The fees was affordable as compared to other colleges or universities
Infrastructure was very good and hygienic.
Campus was secured very well and the environment was ragging free.

Dislikes

There were not enough skill building opportunities.
Learning was majorly focused on theory rather than practical.
Not enough good job oppotunities and compition was quite high.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was little bit outdated as per the modren world expectations and needs to be revised with focusing more on practical learning and skill development seesions rather than teaching the same old subjects.

Good Campus Life, Great Exposure, and Plenty of Opportunities at Chandigarh University

Likes

I like the infrastructure of the university it has a great campus and so many shops there stationary and canteens available here.
I like the security of the Chandigarh university is so good guards and the cctv cameras are all around the campus
I like the quality of study and the knowledge the faculty provide us during the lectures and practicals

Dislikes

I dont like the attendance criteria in this university.
In some of the subjects we have to maintain 90% attendance and that is difficult for the most of students
I dont like the number of lectures in per week in this course like i have 26 lectures per week in my course

Placement Experience:

Placements here in this college are really good. Before the placements they give us all the information about the rounds in placements in the form of seminars and also there are mock tests for the placements and the interview trainings before the placement drives and the AMCAT exam which is for the placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I particularly liked my minor degree in Electronics and Communication engineer which is cover more on the modern Computer hardware concepts . Suggestion as overall faculty can introduce one course each semester as elective which student can learn apart from that branch.

Chandigarh university provides placemnet oppertunities with studnets becoming eligible in later semester . cse studnets can apply to it companies for technicall roles . i plan to gain practical skills .

My Experince at Chandigarh University: Campus Life, Learning and Growth

Likes

The campus is beautiful, spacious, and offers good infrastructure with modern facilities.
The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

Dislikes

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

Hostel food is not good but eatable and enough.
Dresscode is on wednesday that is must to wear.

Chandigarh University the best university

Likes

college life of Chandigarh university is so good, all the events do happen .
teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

Dislikes

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon
