Everything about SRM University, Amaravati.

The curriculum is very well planned by highly experienced faculty. It is planned in such a way that provides all the basics and knowledge required in order for the student to choose the course he is truly interested in. The curriculum involves lab sessions, where we work on real life problems and examples, which prepares us well for real-world applications. Even though, the teaching has scope for improvement, as the world is evolving, the interaction could be more improved. It would be very effective if there are weekly exams which includes all the topics taught in that week.

There are numorous companies offer different role for internship. Roles like SDE 1 and SDE 2, Data Analyst, Software engineer, etc. The stipend varies from one company to the other and from on role to the other, from 10k per month to 1 lakh per month.

In the 4th year, students are eligible for placements. But from 3rd year, students can start applying for placemnts, and start doing internships, through which most of the students get placed in the company for a full time job. There are many reputed companied that visited the campus, some of them are, Servicenow, Juspay, Cyware, Xperi, Amazon, Netflix, etc. There are around 700 offers every year. The highest package offered is 42 LPA, by Servicenow, for Associate Software Engineer, and the average package is 10 LPA. There is 100% placement every year. My plan is to get placed in a company and role that suits my skill. After 5 to 6 years of job in software industry, I want to start my own business.

There is an increment in tuition fee every year by around 25%. This might be very huge amount for few students. For me, the tuition fee is 3 LPA, hostel fee is 2 LPA for 2 sharing AC room, training and development fee of 10k, and other charges of around 5k, incluing maitanance, insurance, etc. I got a scholourship of 50k per year, on maintaining 8 or above cgpa per year. Through SRMJEEE or SRMAPET, students can get scholorships, upto 100%, and minimum of 50k per year. There are many oppoutunities for students opting for plcements. If the student is skilled enough for the current industry, he willl get placed in a very good job role with the guidance of placement department (CRCS).

Every year there are 2 fests, one is for freshers which is held around October and the other is a cultural fest which is held around March. There is a wide range of books available in the central library in the campus. In every class there is a projector, where the faculty project their presentations. Every class is centralized with AC, and good seating. There are numerous indore and outdore games and sports, and couches for each. Every year there is a tounament which will be held among various colleges. There are numorous clubs and societies, which is delt by Student Council. Stduent Council takes care of every event being held in the campus.

In the campus, there is hostel facility, which has 2 sharing, 3 sharing, 4 sharing, 5 sharing, AC and non AC rooms. According to the affordability of the student, he can choose the room facility. The mess menu is diverse, including north Indian and south Indian cousines. The quality of food is better than any other college out there. During the college admission, one can also register for accomodation in the campus. If one wants to take accomodation outside the campus, there is availability of rental rroms near the campus, and can reach the campus through College bus or their own transport.

To be eligible for the course, one need to get qualifying mark in SRMJEEE or SRMAPET or AP EMCET. according to the rank and marks secured, there is a variation in course eligibility. One can find all the details of the admission process in the official website of SRM university, Andhra Pradesh, i.e., srmap.edu.in. Through SRMJEEE and SRMAPET, there is no reservation, but one can get reservation benefits if he/she is taking admission through AP EMCET. For SRMJEEE and SRMAPET, the management conducts several phases every month, before the start of achademic year. According to the phase, the cut-off varies. The syllabus of these exams are same as 11th and 12th grade syllabus. These exams could be improved by conducting in offline mode, so that only worthy students get scholarships.

The faculty to student ratio is 1:10. If a student want to get metored, he can reach out to the faculty at any point of time. The faculty are very much tallented and are able to clarify any doubt when asked. The approchability is very easy. I was able to meet my teachers at any time during clooege hours, and mail them during off college time. Teachers reply to mails within acceptable time. We can interact with teachers at any time, and any number of times we want.
