Course Curriculum Overview

The content included in the course aligned with the outcome Im looking for as a student of the law background but as a suggestion the difficulty level of certain subjects was hard to deal with and could've been introduced earlier. Subs like Jurisprudence could be introduced earlier. Also, the exams held by the college are very fast and preparing for it we don't get enough time. So they could look into it.

Internships Opportunities

For the internship the proffessors recommended or suggested to practice under different lawyers. But the internship is not payed. But rather the students once completed the internship period are given a certificate.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees like tuition, and center fees are quite unreasonable. They could've reduced or set a fair amount for it. Regarding scholarships, there are few given from the central govt. Like NSP Post matric scholarship and Ishan Uday for meritorious students who secured more than 75/80% in their HS final examination. The amount is credited once a year to the beneficiary account.

Campus Life

The student organisations like AASU in the college is very much beneficial for the students. They are there to attend to the common needs of the students. The general fresher program and also other are also well conducted and managed properly. The facilities provided in the college and the infrastructure is quite alright.

Admission

The admission process is very easy. Interested students wanting to apply need to get the application form from the college website and admission is based on merit basis and reservation for students belonging to ST/SC/OBS and others. The exam pattern is fine but the marks given during the evaluation are not satisfactory.

The facilities overall are quite good but the new recruited proffessors are much better than the existing ones. The teaching method used by the new professor are effective as compared to the other. Friendly and approachable attitude. All doubts and quaries are also cleared by them.

A Grounded College Experience

Likes

The faculty members are largely knowledgeable and experienced in their respective fields which makes the academic guidance and mentorship effective.
Another thing is the academic environment is nice as it encourages critical thinking. There is constant participation in debate as well other kind of competitions which keeps the students engaged and academically active.
The college infrastructure is also functional and adequate. Classroom and libraries are equipped with basic facilities and amenities that are needed for academics.

Dislikes

The placement and internship opportunity for students needs to be advanced more.
The curriculum is strong in theory, however more focus must also be given to hands-on learning and practical experience which would better prepare students. .
The library section can be diversified more, with addition of more books as there is only limited number of books available which most of the time falls short as compared to a class strength.

Placement Experience:

To be honest, I don't know much about the placement mechanism at my University. Most of the students mainly go for LLM, either in India or abroad. Other than this, some go fo judiciary examination. In terms of campus placement, every year, on average, 15 students get placed out of the strength of around 60 students. Students, on the other hand, secure placement on their end too. My plans after getting the degree are to first practice in court, and then attempt the judiciary examination.

Likes

College infrastructure i like the most and the teaching faculty i like the college also have a canteen and hich also i guess i can say i like basically you can consider it as a good college only you can go for it if you arr searching for a decent cll
Good college have their own field too and parking also
Teaching faculty is nice and very friendly

Dislikes

Surrounding is not that good people’s mentality is cheap
No extra curricular activities are performed
College is not that hygienic it should be hygienic

The faculty members of the college as well as staffs
The building and the moot courts etc. are good
The most beautiful steady and clean is our library

The parking lot which is too small for the students
All are good but except we don't have college canteen

When I was class 9th I already decided that I want to be a lawyer,and so after my boards I took admission in law school. The teaching methods are great. As we all know lawyers will never get rid of books that's why we have to study for our country.

TLC in a nutshell

Likes

The college has an impoving infrastructure.
The canteen has a reasonable pricing as per students
Extracurricular activities such as sports and freshers party are engaging

Dislikes

The college should improve a bit on the basis of cleanliness and hygiene
The faculty and union body have to improve a bit more on management
The college should provide more opportunities for internships and placements

Course Curriculum Overview:

My choosing of this course stands on the basis to bring forth change in the society even if by a little margin. Theory alone could never prepare you for real life endeavours, therefore practical knowledge is very necessary and this college's curriculum encourages practical application well. The college premises could be improved a little and teaching methods could be improved to be more engaging and enjoyable for the students. There should be a balance between giving notes and lectures on topics of said subjects. There is ample time between exams if one studies by managing time better, the exams are moderate and question pattern is fairly understandable too.

Best part I liked the mostvis the flexibility. Either do internship or class as you wish
The NC DC Fees is very less compared to other college

The small campus of our can't even park bike properly
How the Tribal people get scholarship. I hate this in our college
Less maintenance of AC the ACs don't work

Actually my family influenced me to opt for this course BaLLB. In this course the more you do practical the more you will learn it's not like study hard do that score good results. This course is basically upon your hardwork how much effort you could give . There is no need for improvement in teaching methods you just need a good lawyer for internship and learn the basics. But this exam frequency is quite high Guwahati University finish 1 semester in 2 months..

An honest confession

Likes

The teachers with time does get friendly and helps us in ways that they can
We can approach the office for enquiry anytime we want to and we are guided if we face any difficulty.

Dislikes

We don't have proper good food in the cateen. We have to eat the canteen food which is made with lots of oil and isn't healthy too.
We have good subjects but we don't have regular classes. We sometimes have to wait for 2 hours doing nothing just because a teacher doesn't want to take a class.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was interested in this field as it's a very interesting field as we get to know a lot of different cases and problems which are shut down from our daily life. However in my course of time , the curriculum that we have is not helping us to be prepared for our future practice as the faculty members don't have great knowledge of what they are teaching as well as we are not provided with any specific notes. We are not even given assignments which will make us active more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.A.LL.B(h) is an integrated program of 5 years for students who are willing to take an entire law career. The teaching faculty of my college is well experienced and impart knowledge in a very creative and different way. The class of 120 students has been divided into iinto60 sections each. The exams are conducted at Gauhati University.

Facts about my college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum surrounding our course is very helpful for any law student. The teachers are very friendly but the teaching could be better if they do it in English since not all students understand the native language of Assam. Two exams and one assignment were given to us during the semester. The exams were moderate, not so hard neither easy to crack, if you study properly anyway you will pass.

My honest review about my Dispur law college

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is what I'm interested in pursuing. I want to be educated and get knowledge to be able to help others or myself in times of difficulties that involve court representation. Faculty includes good and qualified teachers, some are better than others but overall it depends upon the student to make the best out of any situation. I will take admitted to another college but that's my opinion. All teachers have different teaching methods. Some are good at speaking skills and communication skills but some lack them. Term exams are easy if you study that's the point and passing will also be easy if you study well enough. It's not as difficult in the first few semesters but as we approach the mid-semester it gets real serious to pay attention in the class and grasp the complicated terms of the law.

I did not apply to any other colleges as my dream was to get into this college only. The college does not require a CLAT exam (but soon there will be). So, the forms of the admission are out in the college portal where the students have to fill out their form and after that there will be a date of the interview which is either written or oral taken by the faculty members of that college. Then after that interview the selected candidates are asked to go to the college for document verification (all these information are given through the notice in the college website) . Then after the verification, the students have to pay the required admission fees. The cut off of the exam is quite high and there are reservations for the SC, ST, OBC. The eligibility criteria 45% for General students and also written exam. I had to visit our college to get the form and all the procedure was offline so I had to visit the college many times. The questions for entrance were easy as many students who were selected for the college were just average students. The admission process was chaos.
