- Mess food is very unhygienic. Sometimes insect founded in food.
- No internship opportunities given, instead forced to opt for the internship course provided by the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
It's good, courses are fine but not teacher, they have knowledge but few fail to deliver to us students. They teach us as presentation, slide by slide, using examples, and explain us about real word application.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship is for reservation candidates belonging to odisha only, but for other state students they will be treated as general only. Fee structure is 1,44,000 per year of course Hostel fee - 25,000 (1500 extra monthly for AC rooms) Mess fees - 4000 monthly
Campus Life
Sankalp is the main tech fest held Every year in the month of March. The library contains various books few are not available but mostly are course related book which is available all time. Have to reissue after 1 week if issued , else fine will be there. Classroom has projectors, good quality sound system, CCTV camera. Sports tournament held every year with name of "waves" where various colleges of same state participate. nist has 21 clubs , technical and non technical, study related, games related, art, dance, music etc
Hostel Facilities
Room is good, but white washed no paint. Meal is bad menu is good but not change they will again add same old menu even after changing. Registeration done during the admission process only. Hostel facility is good no such disturbance, a table , chair bed , matress, almirah will be provided.
Admission
It's was good, mainly students get addmission from JEE Mains and OJEE. As NIST is now an University so they conduct their own examination. Managem quota is also there, if not qualified any exam. Reservation get benefitted only for odisha domicile, and Backward caste.
Faculty
Faculty is good. But few good faculties left the college recently and now assistants are promoted to assistant professor, some don't know about their course that what are they teaching. But few are helpful.
