Entrance Preview

College is not far from Chandigarh city.hostels in the college are good atlest better than the colleges with same fee structure the campus is big and there are lot of opportunities in sports.the campus has many reputed food joints. They stress a lot on placements and there are lot of mandatory classes for preparing you for placements.Lot of reputed companies come to campus for placement.such as microsoft ,mindtree, deliote .

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course for the first two years was same as of other colleges .first year of the college same for every course .after third year there were some changes in the course structure as there was mandatory project in every semester. There were also classes like robotics where the exam was conducted using multiple answer type.

Internships Opportunities

No,i my knowledge there was no internship provided by the college itself but there are many companies that come to the college and give you a opportunity to be an intern .The avg stipend is 15000.

College Events

4

lot of events are celebrated in chandigarh univesity .there is a cultural fest which goes on for two days. There a diffrent events such as battle of bands .poetry singing contest fashion shows during this fest and there is also technical fest where students get to showcase there technical skills .moon buggey contest roboscoccer and many others contest takes place during the technical fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure at chandigarh univesity during the session of 2013-17 was 53000 per semester and 60000 hostel fee.it is expensive as compared to other colleges in the same state but at the same time the opportunities and other facilities at chandigarh university are way better than the other colleges. All in all you can say the college is affordable.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarship programs going on in the college in fact there is a dedicated scholarship office which deals with scholarships you can go to them to see if you are eligible for any scholarships.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life at Chandigarh university there are many things to do in the campus after your college hours if you are interested.about gender ratio there are a good number of boys in the campus as compared to girls.there were technical fests in which students could showcase there talent.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Mostly there are 3 persons per room there is a tv room and gym in the hostel itself .and there are some study rooms also provided in the hostel. There is also gym in the hostel.Food in the hostel is not bad.You can live with it.non veg food is also available 1 or 2 days a week.

Alumni/Alumna

The university was just 2 batches old in 2017.BUt some of the seniors were very help full and friends and there is a strict no ragging policy.

Exam Structure

exam structure of Chandigarh university is quite different from other colleges.Grade system is there. There are 40 marks for internal and 60 marks external paper .40 marks internal is divided 24 marks for your internal mst's 14 marks for assignments class test and quiz and 2 marks for attendance. To get 2 marks your attendance should be above 90%.

Admission

i got to know from my friend about recently established chandigarh university.I went to the the coolege collected my brochure and my exam form i gave the test and scored 75 percentile .i was selectes for the admission .i liked the infrastructure of the college and the classes.

Faculty

2.5

Most of the faculty of the college is young and not with lot of experience .But here are some assistant professors which are very good and mos of them have masters degree and some also with Phd's.Most of the faculty is strict in completing the syllabus on time and they do not compromise on attendance.Less than 75% means you are not allowed to sit in your semester exams.

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
