Remarks

I think the rules and restrictions might be very harsh as boys and girls "couples" were not allowed to sit together and all those rules about not leaving the collage premises I think is too much.

Entrance Preview

Because in 2013 it was a very reputed collage(now not that much maybe because of the location) and no doubt it was since I had taken civil engineering I have to say after visiting other collages that this collage provides students with lots of instruments in lab which other lags.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course is pretty decent the collage have labs equipped with almost all the instruments which one need to understand in civil engineering. All the lectures pdf are available on the server and it also allows you to choose your subject in the 3 and 4 year.

Internships Opportunities

Yes it is the collages responsibility for providing students with internships if they themselves are unable to find and I don't think there is any stipend well not to my knowledge.

Placement Experience

1

For civil engineering I would say 0 to 5% since no one wants to hire freshers although in computer science engineering plenty of companies come in which you are allowed to sit id you have a min cgpa of 6 or 6.5. Even other streams students can sit in these companies.

College Events

1

Well first of there is freshers party the all the collage fest. Some musical nights and drama then there is sports fest. Then all the other small event which are organized by the students body like Halloween night and some festivals night for which there are no holidays.

Fee Structure And Facilities

At my time it was 40k for tuition fees and 35 for hostel(mess and laundry included). Which kept on increasing by 5k which was added on hostel as they cant increase the tuition fee. And 10k for security which is returned after you pass out(I got 6k back don't know what they charged me 4k for) Although you may check the latest fee structure as it have gotten expensive I think tution fee was 50k in 2016.

Fees and Financial Aid

Maybe for topper there might be some scholarship and you can easily get loan form any bank for the collage.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is normal I guess for girls it is hell so I don't recommend the collage to any girls. The ratio is pretty awful with 1600 boys and only around 200 250 girls even less than that. Lot of restrictions in the collage and you are not allowed to leave collage premises only allowed to leave on Sat and sun. There are many competition in the collage like Debates and seminars rest I have already written in the above questions.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostels are pretty decent with 2 bathrooms on one floor and 3 boys in one room (single rooms are also available) and there are 5 rooms on one floor so total of 15 students on one floor. The bathrooms are cleaned every day which is pretty great. And mess food is edible decent compared to nit/iit. You have a canteen and tuck shops in the campus and also you have gym in your hostel also the girl hostel have swimming pool.

Alumni/Alumna

Don't know about the alumni network during my whole 4 years I met only 2 people who had passed out in 2010 so I would say it's bad.

Exam Structure

We have exams three times first one is for 15 marks second is for 25 and the final is for 35 marks and 25 marks is internal of which you have 5 marks for attendance if your attendance is 90+ and the rest is all up to your course professor and he might take test in between or assignments to evaluate you.

Admission

Got my admission on the basis of jee pre but since the government had introduced 60 and 40% rule(which sucked BTW) so the collage which had closed at around 1.20lac rank in 2012 closed at 8.9lac during 2013(after this year the admission was changed to open and student didn't want to come here to this remote location)

Faculty

2

It was pretty decent some were excellent professors(although the faulty has changed from the time I was there and now) and some were awful (don't want to point someone out tho). I feel like a lot of partiality is there so if you want internal(25 marks which I am totally against) you need to have a good reputation in front of them and your work means squat to them(not all are same)

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate as comparatively less companies visits every year. Number of students for placements are more and companies visits are less that cause less placement ratio for on campus. Moreover upto the end of 8th semester almost 80% of students get placed both including on campus and off campus. My plan is to get a job after graduation.

Placement Experience:

Placements in college are quite good if we compare them with other similar state government engineering colleges. It has a separate TPO (training and placement office) cell which helps students in their placements. Some quite good companies like TCS and Wipro visit the campus for placements. Around 40% of students get placed every year. The highest being 11 LPA. Core competencies the lowest 3.5 LPA salary offered in IT sector companies. Reliance, LNT, Infosys were the top recruiters. Every year students go for internships in BHEL NTPC etc. Companies ( around 30%) Other 70% students go for local transmission plant as the internship is compulsory for everyone. Students organize cultural activities.

In my point of view If you can afford good fee you should never even think of this college. The college is only for local students or the students those do not have a good score and wants a college with no donation and students having strong will power that they will not mix up with the local students can go for the admission.
