Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is good but there are some subjects that I think is not necessary but it happens in every college not only in Chandigarh University. Talking about exams so there will be two mid terms and one end term or final exam. Mid term will be of 20 marks each and final exams is of 60 marks. Talking about grading system so it is divided into 4 parts. 1st is online exam where you have to give the exam and based upon that you will get the marks out of 100. 2nd is practical subjects where your 100 number is divided into many subparts but there is no final exam in it. 3rd is theory subject where 60 number are of final exam and 40 are divided into many parts like mid terms and assignment etc. last is hybrid subject where out of 60 of final exam half number is counted means 30 and the rest 70 are divided into many parts including mst , etc. And mostly subjects are hybrid so you have to study in whole semester to get a good cgpa. Internships Opportunities
I don't know about internship opportunities as I am in 3rd Semester but I talked to some of my seniors and they told me that's it's average some people get good internship and some not depending on person to person and the knowledge they has
Placement Experience
See, As I am in 3rd semester so I don't know much about companies but If you want to get details about placement so If you work hard definitely you can get the placement and you all know about the recession going on so it is a bit difficult everywhere to get the placement but if you are skillfull you can get the placement for sure
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fees of my batch(2023) is 240000(2 semesters). There is no extra admission fees but there is examination fees of Rs. 2000 per semester. Yes, scholarship is here and you can give scholarship test from your home. The test name is CUCET and I think there is a amount of applying it, I don't know the exact amount. I got 40% scholarship.You can get upto 100% scholarship.
Campus Life
Campus life is very good. You will see fests happening in almost every 1-2 months and they are really good. The range of books available in library is huge. You can get almost every book you need. Sports complex is a little bit far from main campus but it is very good. You will enjoy to play there.
Hostel Facilities
I am living in 5 seater hostel. The room has enough space for 5 persons. You will get a bed,study table and a almirah. There is space inside the bed as well for your items. Meal quality is ok. Sometimes it's good but sometimes it's not but it is story of almost every hostel food. Obviously you will not get the taste you was getting in your home. Hostel fees is 138000 of mine(2023). Admission
Eligibility is to pass in board exam, and I think the percentage criteria are different for different boards. You can get the application form on their official website( Search Chandigarh University on Google and you will find it).
Faculty
Faculty is very helpful. Some teachers are not good but it happens everywhere. In Chandigarh University almost every faculty member is helpful. They will guide you, will help you whenever you need them, no matter it's working period or not they will always be there to help you.
