Course Curriculum Overview

5

Forensic is a very high profile course which is mainly based on practicals and here in my university i exactly got the same. We have experienced lots of practical classes that is required for the course and this ensure us that we can tackle the real world application. Area of improvement is we need more labs to continue our practical experience other then this everything is good. We have exams in every 6 months which sometimes get schedule between 3-4 months and level of difficulty is moderate and if u have interest for the course and follow the classes nothing is much difficult.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship are provided here many companies gives offers for the internship programs and if any student have other plans for their intership like doing it from other colleges or other places then that is also allowed here. Many projects have been conducted here but I don't have a clear idea as such as I did it from outside.

Placement Experience

4

Almost from 5th semester that is from 3rd yr students gets placement. Many popular companies have visited our campus and many of the students from different departments also got placement with good package. The highest package till now is 1 crore and that's a very special moment for the university. If the student sit for placement atleast there is a chance of 60% to get a job. My plans after this degree is to go for my master's degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

Year-wise fee for female is 36000(scholarship amount). And for males it is 42000. The fees has increased and it is worth incrising because in our university we have all the updated needful instrument and lab facilities and the cost of those are too high in India so according to me yearly fee is worth. Other batchmate also have the same fee structure as I mentioned above for males it's different and for female too. There was female scholarship amount which was valid for all the female candidates at the time of my admission.

Campus Life

4.5

We enjoy fest every year where many popular celebrities are welcomed and for 3 consecutive days this fest is conducted and we celebrate every cultural event in the campus. Almost all the journals and books of every courses are available in the library. Every classroom have celling fans and AC with all the updated needful. Every type of sports are entertained here both for boys and girls. We have many clubs for every students and they can choose according to there interests.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

We have 4 type of accommodation for boys i.e. single bed (AC/ Non AC) double bed (AC/ non AC ) , triple bed (AC/Non AC) and four bed (AC/non AC) and for girls we have 2 hostels where they provides 2 type of accommodation i.e double and triple (AC / Non AC). As I said earlier the food facilities is very good in our campus comparing to other hostels. Registration is easy dunging the time of admission u need to fill the forms and required needs and thats simple. Otherside the college campus there are many pgs fir both boys and girls which is spreaded in a large area

Admission

Firstly I took admission in vydehi institute of nursing science and research centre for B.Sc. Nursing course and there I stayed in hostel but the food over there was not acceptable and I got sick and came back to Kolkata. So my 2nd option was forensic so here I searched for colleges and got admission in Adamas University. So here in Adamas during admission they conduct a online exam for admission depending on your marks of class 12th and that is different for different departments. If u score the marks admission is easy here.

Faculty

4

Faculties are very much friendly and supportive to all the students and if you approach anything they are always present to answer. All the faculties members of my department are my favourite everyone have one thing in common that they never stepback to help us regarding any problem. And the faculties that I dislike is from other department where we use to go and attend the classes in previous semesters so as our faculties were friendly and helpful the other facilities from other department were kind of rude to us sometimes. But overall I'll say all the professor are really good here.

Other Applied Colleges

Vydehi Institute of Nursing Sciences & Research Centre | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Nursing)

I got sick due to the food provided in the hostel

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
