Reviewing Chankaya National Law University Patna

The course Curriculum is made with proper care and understanding and with the consultation with many judges lawyers and jurists considering in mind that how those will be beneficial for students to prepare for the real world scenario. I basically think that there should be a major change in course curriculum as Honours paper should be removed and elective system should be introduced so that students may have the option to opt for the papers that they like and their enhancement of knowldege in those field will be much better with their proper intrest and guidance. Also i think there should be proper time gaps given between papers who are difficult so that students will not be overwhelmed by the difficult papers and so that proper enahancement of their knowledge should be their

There are many companies that come to Cnlu or students to applu in thheir retigious firms such as JSA, SAM ,CAM, Phoenix legal, Singhania & Co. Also it depends upon the firms that how much they wanna pay stipend to students because mostly students get their stipend from 4th year because they are expected to be well versed with reasearching different case laws and judgements, drafting legal notices , visit courts to watch the proceedings.

Here the campus placement is good because companies like JSA, ICICI bank and many other Tier 2 companies come for placement in 4th yeat and 5th year also. Highest package of my college is usually given by ICICI bank of 18 lakhs to two selected students.But as Cnlu is in Bihar so many students tends to go for higher studies or litigation or goes for judiciary exam.So nearly 40% students tends to get placed because they have a keen intrest in going to corporate firms and other students go to other exams. My plan after getting out of college is to prepare for judiciary exam.

Fee structure is as 218450.For students who have taken the hostel and 174450 for day scholars and divison of fees is as follows: tution fee is 114950 which tends to increase 10% every year,. mess fee is 31500 room rent for hostellers are 18000 for double seaters. 24000 for single room also other remaining charges are of examination fees (5000), infrasture development fees (6000),.developement charges (3000) libraray fees (5000), facilities fees (16000), student welfare funds (3000), arbitration fees (2500),. moot court fees (2500), sport fees (2500), electricity charges (5000),internet fees (1500),Literary and cultural activites (2500) etc. Also there are students who fall in category of OBC EBC, SC & ST category gets 125000 scholarship by Bihar Govt. There are also students who get their full fees waivor by enrolling in IDIA (increasing diversity by increasing access to Legal education).

My overall experience of campus life is very great as their are students here from different parts of India so their is dynamic culture here.Also the infrastructre provided by college is very great as students are involved in every aspect of life like mooting, debating, sports etc. Also their are all types of festivals celebrated here like Jeevatva and annual Cultural functions and also festivals that are celebrated in India are also celebrated here. Also in library there are many types of books and jounrals available ranging from sociological aspect to legal and political aspect and also their are books which are like related to academics knowledge. Also their is digital classrooms so it is very convienent for students as well as teachers to teach and record the lectures etc.Also their are annual cricket match ,football tournament, basketball tornament and volleyball tournament.

The facilities that are provided are very good as their are 8 bathrooms on every floor of the hostel.It has total 3 floor and their are wide range of rooms available for students so their is never problem for accomodation for students. Also their are filtered water and indoor games room available in hostel. Also their is mess room which holds total of 200 accomodation for students to eat food and quality of food is also very good and in a day total 4 times meal is given.Their is also canteen which is opened in late nights also providing varied range of foods to students so their is never unavailability of food. Also for entertainment purpose their is a big screen availabe in mess.

The admission process of this college is by giving the CLAT exam which is held in whole of the India and nealy 300000 students give this exam.There is also ranking of colleges so if u get better marks in CLAT exam than you will be eligible for better colleges in India. I applied for Gnlu which is in Gujrat and that college was my dream college as it has eveything that i needed in my whole life but my rank was not upto the eligibilty criteria of that college so i got admission in Patna. But there was a sense of relaxation that although i didin't get that college but this college is near my home so it's good to have here.My college is mush better than other colleges because first it has a great infrastructure and second one is that it is in middle of the patna so you can avail anything by nearky travelling half an hour and it's a very plus point for Cnlu.

Here faculties are very good as their way of teaching is very good that tends to be grasped by the students very effectively. faculty memebers are apprachable to students after class which is till 01;30 PM till 05 PM. Also there are many faculties with good knowledge and understanding about their subjects but there are also some who have the knowldege but their delivery of the subject matter is so poor that makes them incompetent to teaching. Also their are 2 exams in a semester i.e. mid semester which covers half of the syllabus and is hels after 2 months and end semester is their which tends to take place after 4 months of starting of academics. Also these exams are easy to be cleared but the main bone of contention is that there is no gaps to prepare which makes these exams difficult to clear but students here clear it after sleeping 2 hours in night.
