Course Curriculum Overview

4

For me I have a strong point to choose this course as My whole family is into Law Field and I myself also have intrest in this field from my childhood. Talking about the University's curriculum it prepares pretty well for real world as they tells us to go for internships in holidays and also they provide moot courts, MUNs etcet era. One thing that should be improved is the Number of lectures in a day as there are 7 lectures per day of 50 mins Each, so sometimes it feels very hectic to attend all the lectures. Exam schedule is pretty good as Time to Time exams are being conducted.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Internship Opportunities are good provided by the University as several companies and Named lawyer are connected through the University so they allow students to have a Internship experience with them

Placement Experience

2.5

For BA-LLB 9th semester students are eligible for Campus placements. Though I Don't have much knowledge and even interest in Placement because i want to pursue judiciary exam and even my friends too are not interested in Placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Per Semester fees in Chandigarh University for B.A-LLB is 78500 inr and per Annum 157000 inr. All the charges are included in this, whereas other courses have different fee structure. No special reservation for SCs or STs, though all the students Have an opportunity for a scholarship by giving an exam called CUCET in which scholarship is given according to marks scored by Student, and to maintain that scholarship one should maintain 7.5 CGPA minimum per Semester.

Campus Life

5

Campus is one of the best thing in Chandigarh University to Explore as it is Very beautifully designed and Maintained by the University. Every month Event are being held, every festival is celebrated with joy.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

No Air conditioners only Air Coolers are given. For Boys lifts are provided but for girls no Lifts are there. Food is below average as quality is highly compromised. Wardens are very strict. No Electricity appliances are allowed in Hostel, Laundry is highly expensive

Admission

I applied in Few more Universities and Colleges and i got selected in Punjab University as well as Kurukshetra University but due to Environment and Infrastructure I chose Chandigarh University. No i didn't got any rejection from any college as well as university. Admission process for Chandigarh University is not so hard as they as you to give An Exam Called CUCET that too for scholarship and then Boom! Your admission is done. Minimum 60% marks are required in your 12th Grade .

Faculty

5

If we Talk about Ratio Every 15 students have 1 Faculty member which is a quite good number. Relationship between Students and Faculty members are good enough as They are very co-operative in listening to students and even in Teaching sessions. One the best faculty member in our Department according to me in Proffessor Naseer Ahmad, who Teaches us Political science, the way he teaches is the best way, as he indulge himself in the subject and makes every session very interactive even he is quite linient too.

Other Applied Colleges

Kurukshetra University - [KUK] | Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Law [BALLB] {Hons.}

Because Chandigarh University was a better option as it was A++ Grade university

This is a little vulnerable part of our university as placements aren't it's biggest strenth. A batch size of 300 and only half of ir finds placements from RGNUL. Yes around 40 odd firms have inked deals with RGNUL but still getting the desired results in favour of placements will take some time.

Around 60% students only gets direct placements from our college as ratio I hope gets better because as a top tier NLU i still feel the placements are still not that great. I hope that by the time our time comes ratio is 100% because after the judgement of 3 years practice for judiciary, I think it is inevitable to have a job.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good as there are many subjects which are important from the point of view and law like sociology and political science and we also have a new subject UNGP which allows the students to know about UN helping them in public international law and internatinal law understanding. The curriculum might not help everyone in real life but the environment you get there and surviving there surely hell one in real life The recommendation from me to do improvements is in checkinh as many students get few marks initially but after revaluation they increases
