What Students Say

Likes

The collage premise is good big with good inrfrastructure .
the collage has good amenites which are clean and good looking
it has ample and good quality labs and other common areas

Dislikes

no big ground or open area the college is just too cramped feeling
i personally didnt like some teacher whereas some i found to be amazing!

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

I did not want to deal with any hardware studies I wanted my curriculum to be mostly software hence the pick of Information Technology I would say the curriculum is about alright for the real-world comparison The frequency of exams submissions and lecture practicals is too hectic from my perspective it is just too fast for my liking

Class Size: 64Course Fees: INR 129000 per year

Internships Opportunities

2.5

I'm from it so we were mandated to do at least a month of internship and the teachers were kind enough for us to help us find our internship places but I found one myself they are preferred to be in a technical background but not mandated and the collage had good connection with places who offer internships overall my experience in my internship was good and even my friends didn't have a hard time the internship was for real-life practical knowledge and a glimpse into the industry

Fees and Financial Aid

The SBMP IT diploma has fees of about 12900 for students in the general category. This fee includes almost everything. From what I know, the college doesn't provide any hostel option. Students from SC and ST do receive a fee reduction and there are more merit-based scholarships available as well and lower income brackets receive a reduction too.

Campus Life

there are many technical and sporty and cultural fest held around the year I would say the overall college experience is happening if you opt-in to have fun there is a good range of books in the library we also have an online library provided by the college the technology is good and modern and there are some clubs

Admission

the admission process is a bit complicated but it is not that hard this was the only good Diploma college from my perspective no I did not get rejected from any other collages This was my first pick

Faculty

for my department, we have about 8 teachers who are from our department and some are from other departments 3 batches for 3 years with 8 teachers the batches are all about 60 to 70 students the faculty is generally good whereas I don't like some of them but they are nice enough but strict the exams are super difficult!

Government Polytechnic Thane – My College Experience

Likes

As it is government collage, but still it have high level computer labs and high end computer for hevy coding
The collage teaching staff is very friendly and supportive
The collage arrange many competitions like quiz competition, sport tournaments and celebrate many festivels with fun.

Dislikes

The collage building is too old and not have well developed sport ground
The classrooms don't have Digi board or TV for didital learning and have old blackboard
The teachers don't take regular lactures, student have to study on it's own

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good and covers important technical subjects. I choose IT because I was interested in computers and technology. It provides basic practical knowledge through lab work and projects, which is helpful for further studies. It can be improved by adding more latest technologies and practical learning. There are 2 unit tests in each semester followed by the final end sem exam. Exams are mostly moderate in difficulty.

Excellent college for diplomawith supportive faculty

Likes

teachers are helpful and you can ask them your doubts without any problem. most of them are quite supportive
there are technical events, sports and cultural programs during the year, so college is not only about studies
i liked the practical sessions and labs because we actually got to work on things instead of only learning the thoery

Dislikes

Placements opportunities could be better and i feel the college can bring more companies for students
Sometimes the academics workload can fell a bit much, espically when assignments, practicals and exams come around together
Using mobile in the collge is strictly not allowed and if used our mobile is taken and given after 6 to 7 days .

Placement Experience:

Placements at VES Polyetchnic are decent for a diploma college. students generally become eligible for placements in the final year.Pacages depend on the company and branch, with some offer going above 4 LPA. the placement cell also helps with interviews and internships. after diploma, many students also choose to continue with higher studies

A Good choice for engineering

Likes

I liked the college campus, infrastructure and the helpful nature of the faculty. Teachers explain concepts well and are supportive when students need guidance.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Why I chose the course: The course has a good mix of theory, practical subjects, labs and technical skills, which influenced my decision. Real-world preparation: The curriculum gives basic industry knowledge and practical experience. It is also useful for higher studies. Improvements: More practical projects, industry visits, updated technology and hands-on training would make the course better. Teaching could be more practical and interactive. Exams: Internal exams are conducted during the semester and university exams at the end. The difficulty is moderate and manageable with regular study.

Review for Bhausaheb Vartak Polytechnic in vasai

Likes

I liked how they support any type of sports or passion that the student likes.
All the laboratories have the required equipment ready for the practicals to be performed.
The canteen of the college has varities of food and snacks for students or staff members.

Dislikes

Sometimes Lectures are not being conducted properly in the classroom.
The classroom and labs are dirty. The walls have smudges and footprints from shoes.
Most of the computers in the laboratory do not function and are very poor in terms of specs.

Placement Experience:

As I have heard people mostly get placements from this college itself. If not they go for their degrees and take placement there. The salary is mostly around 5 lakhs per annum which is decent enough for most students. According to the principal from the college if a student studies afterwards for degrees this number racks up to 18 lakhs.

Best Infrastructure College at Affordable Fees

Apart from Shri Bhagubhai Mafatlal Polytechnic(SBMP), I applied into Bhausaheb vartak college of polytechnic, VJTI but I chose this college since it has best infrastructure and teaching faculty with good syllabus and this college is autonomous college so it has plus point. I didn't get into VJTI because of cutoff only but this got me into SBMP. Admission is done through MSBTE portal. To get into this college one should have passed 10th boards with around 75% to be placed in the first round of admission. Admission procedure is very simple and easy....Read More

My college experience

I selected this college and not other's as this is a government aided college so fees is less. And it's in the top 3 diploma college's. Admission criteria for this course was 60+% in SSC. It's been allotted by DTE and 3 lists are been conducted to get on the first list you will need around 85-90% marks. And you can get into this course and college after your 10th boards or 12th boards, with 12th boards and ITI course you can get into direct second year. Admission process was not very lengthy but it will take a day as to submit all the docs and feed your own data in their portal. And that's it submit the first demand draft as your 1st year fees. There are people to guide. It feels hectic but it goes pretty smooth....Read More

Review about mechanical engineering

Profound and very recognized college for a diploma in engineering. The syllabus is very much up-to-date and the teachers are fantastic. The university building is very nice and new. All the assignments are very logical and helpful. They give us projects to use our technical knowledge practically. So that we can understand the difference between theoretical and practical life. They also provide us with 6 months of implant training in industries so that we get some experience in industries about their working and procedure. From this inplant training, we learned many things. I am happy for taking admission in this amazing college....Read More
