- As it is government collage, but still it have high level computer labs and high end computer for hevy coding
- The collage teaching staff is very friendly and supportive
- The collage arrange many competitions like quiz competition, sport tournaments and celebrate many festivels with fun.
Dislikes
- The collage building is too old and not have well developed sport ground
- The classrooms don't have Digi board or TV for didital learning and have old blackboard
- The teachers don't take regular lactures, student have to study on it's own
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good and covers important technical subjects. I choose IT because I was interested in computers and technology. It provides basic practical knowledge through lab work and projects, which is helpful for further studies. It can be improved by adding more latest technologies and practical learning. There are 2 unit tests in each semester followed by the final end sem exam. Exams are mostly moderate in difficulty.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides internship opportunities through tie-ups with some companies and startups. A 3-month internship is compulsory for IT students. I personally did my 3-month internship at Concept Simplified in the IT department, where I worked on projects and got practical experience. The internship was helpful to understand how work is done in a real company and improve my technical skills.
Fees and Financial Aid
It is a government college so the fees are not too much. Total fees for General was around 11 thousand, OBC 6 thousand and SC/ST 3 thousand, including exam fees, library and other fees. There is also MahaDBT scholarship for caste students, but college dont provide any scholarship by itself.
Campus Life
The campus of college is not too good as it is quite old and needs improvement. The college celebrates all festivals and also arranges technical events like hackathons, web designing and coding competitions. The library is good but does not have much books. The classrooms also need improvement as they only have blackboards and no digiboard for digital learning and PPT presentations. The college also arranges sports tournaments every year.
Admission
I choose this college because it is a government college and the fees are very low compared to private colleges. The admission is done through CAP round process after 10th on the basis of 10th percentage. Students have to fill the registration form on the official MSBTE portal and then apply for the CAP round. When I took admission in the college, I was little bit disappointed because the lectures are not regular and students have to study on their own.
Faculty
The faculty is good and support students and are very friendly with students. Specially I was in IT department, the IT department faculty was too good and they personally help students whenever we have any doubt or problem in college projects. Most of the teachers are supportive and guide students properly. The only thing I don't like is teachers dont take regular lectures sometimes. There are 2 unit test in one semester and then final end sem exam is there. Overall faculty experience was good and teachers are helpful.
Night Life
The college is located a little outside the city in a quiet place, so there is not much around the college for students to hangout. There are no proper cafes or public places nearby. The college campus and library are closed after college timings and there is no late-night activity. The area is also not very safe to roam around at night, so students usually leave the college before it gets late.
