Academic environment of our college is appreciable. we have good library system.more than that we have seperate library,museum for each deoartment.we can approach professors freely if have any doubt or problem.Each month we have internal assessment.
Infrastructure of our building is so good.we have air-conditioned class rooms
Extra curriculum activities like sports,arts are happening in every year.we have team for football,kho kho,basketball,volley ball,cricket,dance and fashio pared

Dislikes

Since our college is inside the centre of city.we don't have much place to expand.
Area of college is less as compared to other colleges
It started in 2015.so it is a new developing college

Course curriculum is based on CBME.Morning we have clinical classes,after that theory classes will be there .clinical classes give as an exposure towards patient.we will learn here how too interact with patients and will learn practically.monthly exam is conducted both in theory and practical.

Hostel Facilities

We have both triple and double sharing rooms available here.furnitures are available in the room. Mess is under the control of students ,so students can choose menu There is no long process for getting into hostel,just sign and fill the form then pay caution deposit of 30,000 and monthly establishment fee. The hostel is so close to college

Admission

The admission procedure of government medical college is based on NEET score.I choose this college because it has good academic perfomance ,good infrastructure as compared to other colleges. Transortation is also easy for me.In NEET ,AIR of 10,000 should required to get admission in our college

We have yearly exam both practical and theory.Monthly we have internals of each subjects. Each student have mentor (professor),we can approach them any time.Exam levels are moderate to hard.In our college the pass percentage is 95 percentage.

Tagore Medical College from my POV

Likes

The college has a very dedicated set of faculties who are very supportive. The faculties are easy to approach and very friendly. Every faculty is well experienced in their subject.
The college not only focuses on our academic development but extracurricular activities. There is a huge cricket ground in campus where we can play sports. There is also a college band.
The library is open till 8 pm. The library has prep ladder tablets which students could make use of.

Dislikes

The infrastructure could be a little more developed

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our curriculum is CBME based curriculum. It is more clinically oriented. We get to answer questions only after diagnosing the clinical case based questions. It focuses more on practical knowledge rather than just focusing on the theory part. It makes us ready to handle patients.

Many extracurricular clubs are there like Im in the fashion parade one.
Air conditioning facilities is avalaible jn almost all lecture halls
College is near to the metro and electric train stations making it easy for travels

Dislikes

Continous tests makes us uninterested in the subject.
Monotonous way of talking inevitably leading to us sleeping in class
Boys and girls cum activities are less leading to less interactions

Course Curriculum Overview:

For my medical field i feel some subjects are unnecessary in my view point like the community medicines. I feel anatomy weightage should be more compared to buochemistrand physiology. I would like them to improve the chapters and remove chalters that are unnecessary so that we medical students can concentrate on whats inportant rather than studying everything and stuffing our brain.

The teaching faculty are good and supportive the labs are well equipped
The college encourages many sports and celebrates all festivals

The college is very strict with the dress code
Could improve the food in hostel and canteen
Does not allow outing for first year girls

I liked the campus life. As all of us have come from a stressful exam it's just fun to enjoy
I like the anatomy subject a lot . Cuz the faculties make the subject more interesting

Not all the faculties are teaching the same way.
Some people can misguide you as we are totally new here

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is well known for its complexity. It's so hard to understand in the first go. We will start to realise that 12th was just an ABCD. This not something impossible with patience and intrest it's easy to learn. Every month we will be having internals for each subject. It would be hectic but fruitful. Don't always street about academics there are lot of beautiful things to gaze at also.

Remarks:

The medical college and hospital is at Mundiyampakkam village, Villupuram District. Being located at a village, the medical college focuses on maintaining good health of rural people. There are 1100 beds which are used by patients. 650 beds are used for teaching and 450 beds are used for other medical purposes. Being close to nature, the college is surrounded by greenery. One can get fresh air and healthy environment easily. However, the city is a little bit far away.

for the course of mbbs, we have counselling . there are 2 types of counselling , state and all india. i applied in state counselling and kept the colleges i want in the order. 1 being madras medical college, 2 is stanley medical college, 3 is christian medical college vellore and 4 is omandurar government medical college and 5 is coimbatore medical college. my marks were 665 in neet so according to that i was allotted omandurar government medical college in the second round of counselling. the cut off this year for government seat in a government medical college increased by a lot. it is very high. only 50k government seats are available while the no of students who wrote neet were 24 lakhs. the competition is very very high. it is tough to get a seat in a government medical college....Read More

I perfered this college only because of it's location this college is in the middle of the Chennai city We have good transportation facilities having metro railway station bus stop at walkable distance. Small and Simple College near the beach side

12th class and passing neet exam is the eligibility. You will get a list of documents once the portal has been opened for admission, you can also know it from the youtube channels also. Get ready the documents asap or else it might cause unwanted pressure at the end. You will be given enough time to apply for counselling and all, but apply for certain government approved documents like Community certificate, nativity certificate, income certificate (if req), etc.. At the time of admission you are asked to pay ?15000 for establishment fee for all and for hostellers ?15000, and in total ?15000 will be refunded at the end of the course.
