Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum is good but the way of teaching in CU is not good . A student to gain a good job should have a practical knowledge but In CU both teachers and student run towards the grade of the academic curriculum . I beleive both of these things should be balanced and well maintained to get paid a good amount in future.

Internships Opportunities

5

Blueyonder : Stipend 50000 per month for 6 months internship Statestreet corporate services mumbai pvt ltd. : 30000 per month stipend for 6 months and position was technology internship Amazon Development Centre India pvt ltd with a stipend of 1.10 lac for intern for 6 months

Placement Experience

5

I dont think so at this price point any other college is providing this type of placement . I am in my final year and till september approx 250 companies have visited CU for the recruitment process. I believe the count will increase and will be approx 1000 till the end of my academic year. The companies which visited are both mass recruiters and the companies with high package. College student can choose their career according to their ease.

Fees and Financial Aid

When i joined the Chandigarh University the fee for one semester was 90000 per semester but after appearing for CUCET I got 30% scholarship So i had to pay only 63000 per semester and to maintain this scholarship my CGPA should not be less than 7.5. Chandigarh university provides upto 100% scholarship based on the score of CUCET. According to me it is cheapeast of all the colleges at that time in 2021.

Campus Life

3.5

There are many fest conducted by CU anually . For books in library cu has its own portal of uils which manages books renewal and issue. College is completed with all types of labs and multipurpose rooms. Cu has its own sports campus and famous cricketer Arshdeep singh is also graduated from CU. Many clubs like CSI , IEEE are managed and done by students in college

Admission

I found a Cu a good campus . The placement record of previous year and the number of companies visited CU for on campus placement is just unbeleivable. This makes CU the number one private university in North Indian. It is accredited with NAAC A+ grade which make it a top tier college.

Faculty

4

The teachers which are well trained and had done professinal courses like PHD, Mtech are good but the teachers joining as Assistant teachers are not that much trained to teach the student in a proficient manner . I want to say that CU must train a teacher for abouyt 30 days before giving any teacher responsibility of any batch . I found teachers left CU in the first month of their joining as it found that there are many hectic works that CU wants that their faculty should do .

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
