Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is very vast and covers majority of key points from various historical events spread out across india and the world. Faculty is unbiased and provided very factual knowledge and not biased opinions. There could be more teachers hired as it becomes difficult for on person to manage a class of 60

Placement Experience

1.5

Campus placements are available and provided, However it is only applicable to few courses and is not provided to everyone. Only 40 percentage is the placement rate at Loyola college with many of the placements being at an average package of 7LPA. I wanted to pursue a teaching profession however placement opportunities were not available for me.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise tuition was 30000 which took the total up to 90000 for three years excluding the hostel fees of 75000. But there are some government aided courses available as well which provide scholarships and subsidized fees for students.

Campus Life

3.5

The Loyola college hosts it's annual fest in the month of October wherein various performance ranging from dance, music, skit and plays are performed to the large crowd of spectaters. Even many top celebrities are invited as chief guests to the programme. Loyola college also has the top cricket, basketball, football and volleyball team and have won many championships to prove that claim as well.

Hostel Facilities

1

The hostel is very basic and congested, with the lights and fans not working sometimes and even dust being there on the floor. 5 people are present in a room. The warden is also rude and doesn't care much for students hailing from outside of Tamil Nadu. The food served was also equally horrible and I found it really inedible as it has caused me to fall ill quite a few times. eventually had to leave the hostel and find a nice pg as I was falling sick frequently due to the bad food.

Admission

The reason why I chose this college is because it was ranked highly for the bachelor of arts history programme and with my 85 percentage in 12th, I was able meet the cutoff and gain Admission through the second merit list. Overall the admission process was lengthy and hectic and confusing and management can do a better job at it.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty to student ratio is less, where most often teachers have to single-handedly manage a class of 60 people. The course structure is sound and covers majority of the key moments of both indian and world history. I quite didn't like the behaviour of the Vice principal of discipline who was very rude and curt to students hailing from outside of Tamil Nadu. There are 3 exams in a semester. 2 unit tests and 1 end of semester test.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well-structured and covers both theoretical and practical aspects. It provides a strong foundation for higher studies and career opportunities. Internal assessments and semester exams are conducted regularly, with a fair marking system. More industry exposure, internships, and skill-based training would further enhance students' learning experience.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The department of English not only offers good education but also so many values to lead our life. Faculties were so friendly in clearing students' doubts. There was personality development course to improve students' personality. Students had to choose any other subjects other than they are studying for sbi course. Due to this students learn about other subjects too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well the course provides almost everything which is needed and available. This is not a normal economics course as it involves statistics, python, core math and also dives into data science. This allows the students to explore various subjects and can choose which is their best fileld. The curriculum overall is very rigorous and intense but you can crack it if you study regularly. About the frequencies of the examinations, we have 2 internal examinations and 1 end semester examination. I can guarantee that this course is super rigorous but im not sure if i would necessarily say that the course is "practical" and it helps us in the real word. I cannot comment on the practicality of the courses. The exams are not super difficult and its moderate. Getting more than 90% can be challenging although clearing the paper won't be an impossible task.

I made an application online on the official website of the university. Filled in the detailed application form and then I was required to visit the spot centre of the university for confirmation of my application and admission. After document verification and confirmation of my admission I was required to complete the procedureal formalities like submission of fees etc. Being a popular University this was my first choice when I decided to pursue program from distance mode.
