What Students Say

Likes

The behaviour of teachers with students is very cooperative and understanding
Placements are very good in this college
Faculty are having very good teaching skills

Dislikes

Campus life, is not much good for girls.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

My main aspect to join this college is for placements and it's reputation. College department take care for all curriculum activities for students welfare. Attendance must be given to students who are going for the preparation of events

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Placement Experience

3.5

5 semester students are eligible for placement Famous companies who came here are Google, amazon, Microsoft etc. Highest packages is about 40-50 lakhs and lowest must be 3-4 lakhs My plans after degree is to get a job in any company

Fees and Financial Aid

I have to pay 66,000 Indian rupees for one semester fees. Students form Bihar are taking their benefits of Bihar student credit card so they have to pay less fees. SC/ST students are having very low fees as compared to generals

Campus Life

Our college is having 2 main fests freshers and Parivartan. Technical festival occurs once every month for the betterment of students future. There is no facilities in classroom like in summers it's very hot and there are only fans in classroom and seats are too made up of iron

Admission

I only apply for this college because of it's name and reputation. I have also listened about this college from my friends and family. There is no such procedures or any exam for addmission we have to just apply for addmission and if there are seats left we get admission

Faculty

Relationship between faculty and students is very cooperative and understanding, they understand the feeling of students, but the office clerks are very rude and arrogant with freshers. Best faculty is our CC Megha Sharma from block3

The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

Placement Experience:

placements of 2.8 cr occured but it was only one , most of the placements packages go under 8 lpa and extra fees has to be paid in order to be eligible for placement drives and that too doen't ensure the placement

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.

Honest ???? review

I am choosing this college because for engineering degree many colleges asked for our jee score and I'm not given my jee exam due to not having preparation of syllabus and on that time there is criteria of 75% above for applied for filling the jee examination. And I'm not fulfilled this. So that's why I need one best private college for my bachelor's which is fit for according to there academics, placements, campus environment, etc overall good . So I find this is good. There are so many others private colleges are there but there fees are not budget friendly for any middle class student. In CGC College of engineering there you can take admission by two methods :- 1)One is through ptu councelling:- if u are take admission through ptu councelling then there is relaxation in fees then ur academic fees is around 20,000 l/sem. 2) other one is through direct admission. There is no specific criteria but you have to score 70% above then you can get admission in any stream that you have to desire. There is no entrance exam and I'm not confirmed they accepting jee score or not ....Read More
