Course Curriculum Overview

I would rate it 8 out of 10 inn terms of number. As we know at present times no field is greater . Every field has its own significance. such as studying commerce is very practical in these times.It enables our practical thinking towards life.

Internships Opportunities

The internship oppurtunities of my college are very vast. As companies want there employees to be young and full of energy so that they can learn about the company from grassroot level. The stipend differs for each company . it varies between 5000 to 15000 according to the skill set.

Fees and Financial Aid

For taking admission in St Anthonys College it required 20000rs at the beginning as admission fees which also included the first semester fee. The registration fee was 200rs. The year wise fees is around 15000

Campus Life

My experience in the campus has been good. As i am an extrovert, i like to be with people . The library is the place that caught me by surprise as there were a lot of variety of books and also an online page including different books that too for free.

Admission

I took admission in this as it is close to my home town . I dreamed of going to manipal university but couldn't take admission as i was late and it is too far from my hometown. The admission process is quite simple in my colllege as they did not lay their full focus on marks but also checked a persons other skills.

The name of the faculty which caught my interest was the media tech faculty. there are total two exams that take place in the college, the internal and external examination. Which both take place at the end of the semester.

My review on my college

Likes

It is the library it's very big and contains many different books that the students can research from and reference their projects from.
The gymnasium therebis also good with various equipments that the students can work with
The basketball court is also big and many students play basketball and many other games in there

Dislikes

I dislike my seniors,they are arrogant and very controlling and I hope they graduate soon.
The canteen as it a bit expensive for me
The toilet is a bit too far for my liking

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspect in which I chose my course is because I want to work in office jobs and most of the jobs relevant to the course pays a good sum of money.The curriculum prepares you alot for real world applications but of course not all of them as different courses teach you different things in life .The area which might need improvement is the choice that we have on choosing our minor or major subjects and I think the college should include more options.There is usually an internal test followed by an exam for every semester.

My College Experience in St. Edmund's College

Likes

The college campus is filled with greenery (flowers and trees). The environment is fresh and filled with blossoms and trees.
The college campus is very big and beautiful, compare to any other college campus on the state.
The teachers and students are friendly in nature. Hence, we can approach our teachers and ask for help any time we want.

Dislikes

The fees structure is very high in our college, compare to any other college in the state
The class timing is very tight. We have classroom from 8:30am till 4:00pm. Hence, we barely get time for our self to study and complete our work on time.
The food provided in the canteen is horrible. Sometimes the gave the food which are not fresh and freshly made. The food are very oily, salty and costly, which is not students pocket friendly at all.

Placement Experience:

the students from 4th Semester above are eligible for the campus placements. the college placement cell provides each and every opportunity to the students and to influence the students to not only be good in the academics but to also have extra curricular activities. the college placement cells always conducts online or offline meetings with the students, to hell them faced the real world and to not be covered in a bubble shell. they brings people from outside to conduct the meeting and select students who are capable. Many companies has offered placement for the students from our college, companies from the country as well as outside the country. the highest package is 30000 and average package is 5000 as offered by the company. the percentage of students getting placements is 95% out of 100%. the remaining 5% may have their own reasons to not go for the placement or they are not selected for the placement. My plans after getting my degree is to continue with my UPSC, i don't have any other plan apart from UPSC.

There is no complain from my side till now as a loved the university and I think if you are sincere and hard working than this university will return you more than how much you have invested
Most of the people in the university are very friendly and the seniors are also good. There's AC facility in the whole campus
The teachers are very much experienced. They help us in many problems and guide us what we have to do.

Placement Experience:

There are many companies which visits the campus such as Google, big 4 , HDFC , ICCI , Bajaj , dell and many more.. Students can get placement from there last year .. Average package is 7-8 LPA ... Students scoring 7-8 cgpa gets good placement

The college life

Likes

The faculty are really good. And their explanation is really appreciable. They are very friendly and supportive.
Even the management is very good and the conduction of exams and other programs are also very smooth.
I really appreciate the way the professors encourage students and the way they helped us to make the nep courses easy .

Dislikes

It's just that the routine is kind of a problem since we need to stay in the college for so long and we get a bit more off periods than what is required.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really found this course very interesting and since I am interested in building up my own business if everything works for me this course is the best to guide me . Since our course is semester wise so we have two semesters every year and each semester is of 6 months and at the end of every semester we have the end sem exams . Over and above that we use to have internals and assignments for each semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since the college name itself suggests that it has Commerce in it so the Commerce department teachers and course were very relevant and facilities like issuing books from library is there for students who can't afford to buy books and apart from books we also have journals and newspapers for our reference. Besides, there are computers in the library for us when we need to do any presentation or any other work. It is helpful for students. Though the name has Commerce in it, the college also offers course for Arts stream, i.e. BA.

Admission:

The admission process is pretty simple and straightforward. The college gives special preference to the girl child and students from economically weaker sections. I was considering going to Delhi for higher studies, I am glad that I joined this college.

I chose this college as its just 100 KM but the other one was too far. Plus was expensive too as I come from a middle class family. A detailed review on my college (St Anthony’s,Shillong):pros and cons

I applied into the university of agricultural sciences, Raichur. I got selected there and was invited for admission but I canceled my admission as it was too far away from my hometown. I got selected there for the degree of b.tech in agricultural engineering which I didn't really prefer too as I didn't want to persue b.tech. So I applied cuet and under cuet I applied for BHU and DU but I couldn't register for DU university registration because I didn't knew the last date. But I did applied in BHU but then cuet results were declared very late so I was not sure if I will get in BHU or not since DU was already out of my list .
