Dislikes
- The 128 campus is Situated inside Jaypee greens which is a bit frustrating for daily travel.
- The campus size is so small and also no kiosks are inside it.
- No sitting capacity for students other than classrooms in 128 campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is a little bit tougher and the frequency of exams make it worse as you have term 1 exams after 1 month into college and then after term1 you have lab test 1 and 10 days after you have term 2 exams then after that lab test 2 then after 5 days you have term 3 exams then wooshh semester is gone.
Internships Opportunities
Accenture Google Amazon have provided internships to students here for 1.1 lakh per month stipend. Students went offline there to companies for rounds so college have no role in it but it does provides opportunities for those who are unable to do it themselves.
Placement Experience
Placements are decent highest package offered always remain above the 80 lakh mark even in recession and without recession it is one crore. Average goes around 8.5 lakh and median around 12 lakh. Internship are also provided paid for 1.1 lakh per month.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fees is 230000 per year approx and one time admission charges are 25000 and scholarship here are very less but they are there only in 128 campus you have to be the top contender for it to avail and be in EWS category.
Campus Life
Campus life is not much of a fun if you don't have a core friends group. I have a group so my campus life is fun but it is not same for everyone as I have seen many students sitting lonely in library or roaming here there but clubs here are pretty active.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is only available in 62 campus for 128 students also. It is expensive as compared to facilities provided it is 1lakh per semester 2 lakh per year only one option is there 2 sharing ac room and that's it you take it leave it they don't care. Also AC time is limited to 9-4 at night mess food is boring but hygienic so no issues there concerning health.
Admission
I applied for thapar university my reason for choosing this over that is purely that it is comparatively more connected to my city than patiala and job opportunities here are more than there so it is the sole reason.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is nice enough generally in a class 1 teacher is taking lecture for 70 students approx and in tute the number of students decrease to 35 which is very good considering the interaction quality between student and teacher.
