Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choosed this course because I liked maths by the time I took non medical I also had an interest in computer science so I took computer science and engineering. The curriculum is all over good covering all concepts briefly which is a great thing, as you have atleast a little knowledge of all the concepts. Rest it is up to you how much you want to study. There are some subjects which are of no use as there are some workshop, some other online courses which needed to be done... Instead of those there can be extra labs that can be conducted

Internships Opportunities

3.5

I do not remember all but the latest company that came was coin base Role offered - fintech and blockchain technology Stipend - ?1,40,000 per month The other recent company those came were Motorq, payPal

Placement Experience

3.5

The campus placement are very good From 5th semester only you are eligible for the campus placement. There are many big companies like Wipro, coinbase, Philips , Microsoft and other big names. Percentage of students getting placed is less as compared to the previous years batches. I plan to complete my mtech from a good iit in India or from abroad.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees: 160000/sem My fees: 53000/sem (50%Scholarship) Other fees: Examination fees: 2500 There are scholarship provided by university on basis of cucrt exam tajen at the time of admission. Scholarship is given on the basis of marks you have got in 12th standard (if above 90 Percent you directly get 50 percent scholarship)

Campus Life

4.5

There are fest organised every semester. There are celebration for all the festivals . There are tech fest , hackathon on a regular basis There are books for each and every of our subject and some other novels and general knowledge books for preparation of other exams. You can easily issue a book on your name for atleast 7days and even reissue it. There are sports activities throughout the whole sem they have a dedicated sports complex where you can play the game of your choice

Admission

I applied for vallore institute of technology, chennai and thapar institute of technology, patiala. I got admission in both these colleges but vit was in south so I avoided it and in thapar I was unable to get cse branch in the main campus. I choose Chandigarh University as the placement here was good as my friends told me and there were also some of my close friends in it. Admission process for our college is you should have above 60 percent in your 12th standard in whichever board you have completed. The exams are also on basis of jee score and there own personal cucet exam which is taken by the University itself. The cutoff is good , if you are an average student or excellent student you can easily clear the exams. The overall admission experience was great

Faculty

4.5

One faculty of one subject mainly has only two batches to teach in core subjects and for other mandatory non graded subjects they gave good number of teachers. There's is one Amanpreet mam in our 2nd year she was our maths teacher she had really good knowledge about the concept. It was great to learn from her. There are some teachers arrogant. I would not like to take the names. There are 3-4 subject offline exams and 2-3 online exams each semester. Exams are moderate containing all types of questions easy medium hard.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
