Course Curriculum Overview

2

The course curriculum is very outdated and it teaches us the content which has been discontinued years ago and when we are being taught those topics it is very difficult to use the knowledge in the present world situation.

Internships Opportunities

1

Internship opportunities are very less..there were just 3 students who got an internship out of 120 students just because our college just started working on gathering internships. The interships were at Qualcomm Hyderabad.

Placement Experience

2

The placements are not that great as the average placement in our college is around 5 to 6 lacs per annum and the highest package was for about 24lacs and most of the students apply for a masters just after their bachelor's .My plan is to pursue an MBA for my passion in Management.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are only available for students who appear for state entrance exams like the EAMCET examination in which if they qualify they get a Scholarship. They are provided with the cover of the complete fees and they have to maintain their GPA for the renewal of the scholarship every year.

Campus Life

1.5

There is little to none campus activities and the sports are very limited to the sports week itself. Other than that there is no activites or extracurriculars avaliable in the college. The technological aspect is just on par with the basic nessecities like a projector etc...the library is huge but the drawback is that you have to get a permission to sit in the library.

Admission

The main reason i chose this college was the commute time which was very less compared to the other colleges and the college was pretty lenient in terms of skipping classes whereas the other university was also the same but it was nearly half an hour further away from my residence therefor i chose this college...and the other college was more expensive than this college

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio is high as a faculty may handle nearlu 120 students at a time and there are some faculties in our college who are very helpful and welcoming but there are some who show attitude and don't allow any room for new concepts and ideas and maintain strictness for no reason at all...the course contains 2 internal examinations 1 lab internal examination and then 1 lab external examination and 1 external examination...the course is overall pretty tough and tine consuming. I woukd say nearly 30 percent fail to clear the exam.

Other Applied Colleges

Muffakham Jah College of Engineering & Technology - [MJCET] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Computer Science and Engineering)

It was a bit far away from my place of residence

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
