Course Curriculum Overview
I love to code so that's the main reason I got into NIAT. Because I have heard many reviews from few of my friends and relatives. The curriculum NIAT follows is always up to date. They don't teach techniques and syllabus that are out dated and are not required in current day scenario. We even have recorded classes so if we miss any detail we can always get back to it and clear our doubts, even though mentors are there.
Placement Experience
From 4th sem itself students are eligible for placements. Although students get access to paid internships from their 1st year itself, just they need some effort. But as NIAT is yet new and no batch has passed out yet so we still don't have the exact placement percentage rate. But as we are getting paid internships from 1st year itself so it's very evident that placement would also be good
Fees and Financial Aid
I am paying 2 lakh per year. My overall tuition fees is 8 lakh. The entrance test of NIAT that is NAT is conducted to ensure eligible students get scholarship opportunities. Scholarship is provided based on the merit of students and how much marks they get in this entrance test.
Campus Life
There are many tech clubs and groups that are run by students. I am part of a tech club and even the president of it. The experience I am getting from that is so much helpful and will always be useful later in my life in my career. Though there are not much extracurricular activities but still there are many buildathons hachkathons and what not.
Admission
I haven't applied for other colleges because I was very sure about NIAT from the first itself. I did a thorough research and understood what NIAT basically does and I was seriously impressed from day 1. NIAT has connections with real world companies and start-ups. We even have seminars and webinars conducted by senior professionals from these big companies. Through them we get to know a lot and build an idea of how the real world works. The eligibility criteria is one have to pass the NAT entrance to get selected. There's no other way. I appreciate this method because through this many students who were not from science background too can join if they are interested in it.
Faculty
The faculty and all the mentors are very good and helpful. Starting from class doubts to projects and even for internships, the mentors help in every way possible. I never imagined in college the faculty would be this close to everyone and approachable. Even if we have doubts after them explaining twice or thrice, they are still ready to explain concepts till everyone of us gets it right. They are very supportive.
Night Life
Gym is present and is equipped but not something huge and with all the equipments. But it has all the basic ones. The cafeteria is the place where we spend our time other than lab and classroom. The food quality is good but there's very limited options. The library is huge and have many many good books, like almost everything we need for our academics. Our famous hangout place is the cafeteria
