Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose this course as I was very keen towards subjects like electronics and mechanical .This is a perfect blend of Electronics Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. The curriculum provides all the basic concept of instrumentation. The subjects taught in class was there for lab sessions. This could help in understanding the concepts well. The exams and its frequency was perfect. One thing I felt to improve was the necessity of doing any internship with studies as we got only little time for such outdoor learnings.

Placement Experience

5

Placement cell of this college is very active and one of the best.Students meeting eligibility criteria are getting placed and are able to move forward in their career.Placement activities are starting from 6th semester.Students gets an average salary package of 4Lacks per Annum in every year. Almost 70 percent of overall students and 98 percent of eligible students are getting placed. The supprt from placement cell is commentable.

As mentioned,NSSCE is a government aided engineering college hence only government approved fee structure was applicable. You can get fee wavier according to the reservation system. For general category , it is around 8.5k as tution fees per year. Also university exam fees are applicable at every semester(200 per subject) Different scholarships are also available depends on annual income and category

This college is best for all type of extra curricular activities. There are various programs are conducted for the physical and mental well being of the students Dyuksha os the official techno-culture fest which is a national fest and it happens in every academic year. Nooouram is the arts fest and its an intra-college fest which promotes the artistic skills in students. Also different types pf competitive championships are getting hosted under college union for sports abd games. This college is an active participant in University arts and sports festivals and is a home for many state and national or unviersity champions Also National service scheme,IEEE and various other clubs are very active

Admission

For admission, you have to write KEAM examination amd secure a decdnt rank as this is one of the most demanded colleges in kerala. You have to appear in allotment process and join if you gets tge allotment. The admission procedure was so smooth and as per KEAM rules. The course Instrumentation and control was available in very few colleges in kerala and this is the only government institution provides this particular course. Comparing the colleges,NSSCE gives the best quality if education in every aspects and placement offers were the best here

Faculty

5

Faculties are of greater experience.Faculties are appointed on the basis of givernment criteria. The student - teacher relationships were highly appreciable. Most of the faculties were available for any kind of needs. Exams are conducted as per KTU guidance. There are 8 semesters for a full B.Tech course and 2 per each year. Each semester has 2 set of internal exams in the middle of the semester and University exam at the end.Internals are of 50 each and University exam of 100.In 2022,45 marks were needed to pass the examination. And tgere was an internal cut off of 22.5 fo each exam.

Other Applied Colleges

Cochin University of Science and Technology - [CUSAT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Instrumentation Engineering)

When I compared both the courses,I felt more attracted to the course in NSSCEThe quality of education was the main factor.NSSCE is an aided institution and one of the reputed and among the initial engineering colleges in Kerala. This course offer a curricu

Placement Experience:

Upon reaching s7 students are invited for campus placement but they have to pass different criteria to become eligible for attending the interview, a minimum cgpa of 7.5 and academic skills a these are the basic requirements and an aptitude test will be given and in further selection these criteria are looked. I plan on pursuing a job after completing by btech. More than half the students in a batch are getting placed usually.
