Likes
- I really like my Psychology teachers and their teaching methods as it makes the subject come to alive and i also tend to see a different prespective of Psychology which made more enthusiastic to learn.
- Ever 1st Saturday we have a Mentor session and i think its really helpful for mr i don't know about others but for me it does as it gives me the feeling of there is someone who will listen to me and try to solve the problems together
- For the career i would say the college to try to give out their best focus on it, even tho sometimes it indeed slips out but overall i would say its Alright .
Dislikes
- The arts block are gonna have a new Bathroom which was much needed as the present one is just too unhygienic to begin with, and also the water filter for drinking purposes seems to be more undrinkable as the water is filled with dirt
- As a junior we respect our seniors but what to we get at the end disrespect by the seniors,i would say what goes around comes back around,so if the seniors wants to have the respect they should earn it by being humble to themselves and their status.
- The campus itself is miserable especially the arts bloke,as most of the projectors are broken and sometimes the current doesn't even come to some of the classes,which i don't understand on why is it happening.
Course Curriculum Overview
At 11th and 12th standard i was introduced to Education subject where there were parts of Psychology and it really attracted me and also the big reason why i choose this course is because there is not much attention given to mental heath in Nagaland even tho its a serious issue here, People tend to called those mental Illness as having abnormality in the brain and lable the person with depression as fool or idiot, so just to give out a proper care for our minds i choose Psychology.As for improvements there needs to be more practical activities and by that not some paper works but more of an indepth person analysing activities, thats all and also the timings are a big problem as not enuough time leads to dissatisfaction on the paper so the timings of exam should be increased.
Internships Opportunities
As im at 1st Semester i don't really know much about the internships but they are quite alot. Baking Makeup and hairstyle etc and many more. I think there is also for computer internship something which i find it really good.
Fees and Financial Aid
As for 1st Semester i took admission for 7,550 which is a very good amount for a Government college, but as a Psychology student i had to pay 500 for Laboratory (Practical paper) and also on 4th of October i had to pay 20rs each one for Sports fee and the other for Annul membership fee.
Campus Life
The projecters in most of the classes are not woking and the currents as well goes out at some classes for whatever reason it is.The Library is really good as most of the books which i need are available there and for the sports not much to say as im not a very sports enthusiast. The unions are also really strong at their works.
Admission
I only took one admission form that is also as a back-up plan,like for instance if i didn't pass on my entrance exam in DGC.I do got accepted in St John College, but as i passed my entrance on DGC i left that and came here.I was happy to pass my entrance exam as i wanted to take Psychology as my major and for ST John College they didn't had that so i had to take Education but luckily i got in DGC.
Faculty
I really do admire all of them especially Dr Temsusenla our Psychology HOD, as the way she presents herself and explains her part is filled with joy, as she doesn't only enjoys teaching but she overall loves the concept of teaching which i really admire.All of them are really good at their own parts but Maam Ling is a little less enthusiastic in her part,which sometimes makes the students lose their interest. Where as for the exams we mostly have our internal test first and have our final terminal exams which i do find quite difficult but not that tough i would say, many students to fail but i don't know much about that.

It is because,i got the Psychology sit in DGC,as I've wanted to take up Psychology as my major but as a back up plan if i didn't pass out the entrance exam in DGC i applied for ST John college as Education as my major because there is no Psychology honour
