Likes

The faculty members are so dedicated and are fully informative
CU provides every student their own rights as separate department named DSW is there.
For entertainment purpose many fest are organised which enhances students mind

Dislikes

There are many students who are admitted every year in CSE
Average package is of 5-6 LPA which is not reliable
There should be transportation facility inside the college as there is huge walking distance

Course Curriculum Overview

Every semester contains 3 units of each subjects. There are atleast 9-10 subjects every year depending upon the course outcomes. Examination point of view, it is difficult or mediate. If a student is giving time to his studies he can score even full marks. Subjects are really up to mark which are needed for future. As i am in engineering background, every subject related to engineering is there like worshops, IEEE, BEEE, Physics, maths, coding, logical and reasonings

Internships Opportunities

Interships are provided to the students in third year of engineering. Many companies like tech mahindra and infosis visited for their internships programs. Companies also provide stifund after completion of their projects

Placement Experience

Placements are there every year. A accurate amount of companies visited CU offering great packages. If a student is developing great skills in coding and communication he/she can definitely crack a good package on campus in university premises

Fees and Financial Aid

Every college/university have their own structure of fees. As they pay for the facilities or quality they provide. As my university offers 120000 per semester which means 240000 per annum. Chandigarh university also provides a chance of scholarships to thier students by giving test named CUCET. It's an online type test by which every student can avail scholarships. Yes, the fees per annum is increasing by this year i.e. 2024 it is increased by 145000 per semester.

Campus Life

Overall experience in CU is great and admirable. There are a number of clubs like dance club, singing club, mechanical club, etc. It is compulsory for the students to join a club for 1 credit score. Clubs also organise events for the students to test their knowledge

Hostel Facilities

In my hostel there are 11 floors and in every room there are 5 students. Hostel rooms are full air conditioned and 1 bed with study table and almirah is provided. Mess food is also very good and tasty moreover healthy

Hostel Fee: INR 138000 per year

Admission

As CU offers a great opportunity of placements. Many companies visited CU every year and giving their best packages to deserving students. And moreover it also provides chances for curricular and extra-curricular activities. Admission process is online. Anyone can apply for CUCET test for scholarship purposes.

Faculty

In a specific class there are 70 students on an average and for that one teacher is provided. Also projector facility is there. A class is divided into two groups. Every group contains a particular mentor which is a virtual parent of the students in the university. Examination is held after each month 2 mst and 1 est

IIT Ropar- Best new gen IIT?

Likes

Campus was amazing, Size was around 548 acres.
Campus located in Ropar pretty close to Chandigarh giving us location benifits.
Placement opportunities especially for CSE students were broad. Research opportunities were great.

Dislikes

Core Branches placements lacked as compared to CSE.
Lesser opportunities as compared to prime located IITS like IIT Delhi. Even IIT Hyderabad regarless of the ranking has much more opportunities as corporate is there in Hyderabad more than Ropar and Chandigarh.
Weather was quite extreme. No ACs in hostels.

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good. The claimed average package is 25 Lacs these days. But the actual median package is for non CSE branch was as low as 8-9 LPA. Also international package boosts the avaerage package component.

CGC Landran - College with good opportunities in low budgets.

Likes

The fees was affordable as compared to other colleges or universities
Infrastructure was very good and hygienic.
Campus was secured very well and the environment was ragging free.

Dislikes

There were not enough skill building opportunities.
Learning was majorly focused on theory rather than practical.
Not enough good job oppotunities and compition was quite high.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was little bit outdated as per the modren world expectations and needs to be revised with focusing more on practical learning and skill development seesions rather than teaching the same old subjects.

Good Campus Life, Great Exposure, and Plenty of Opportunities at Chandigarh University

Likes

I like the infrastructure of the university it has a great campus and so many shops there stationary and canteens available here.
I like the security of the Chandigarh university is so good guards and the cctv cameras are all around the campus
I like the quality of study and the knowledge the faculty provide us during the lectures and practicals

Dislikes

I dont like the attendance criteria in this university.
In some of the subjects we have to maintain 90% attendance and that is difficult for the most of students
I dont like the number of lectures in per week in this course like i have 26 lectures per week in my course

Placement Experience:

Placements here in this college are really good. Before the placements they give us all the information about the rounds in placements in the form of seminars and also there are mock tests for the placements and the interview trainings before the placement drives and the AMCAT exam which is for the placements.

There are some issues I saw with hostel rooms

Course Curriculum Overview:

I particularly liked my minor degree in Electronics and Communication engineer which is cover more on the modern Computer hardware concepts . Suggestion as overall faculty can introduce one course each semester as elective which student can learn apart from that branch.

The campus has good learning environment , helpful faculty , and facilities for academic and extracurricular activities

Dislikes

the fees are quite high , and more practical , industry exposure and intership oppertunities would improve the overall experirnce

Chandigarh university provides placemnet oppertunities with studnets becoming eligible in later semester . cse studnets can apply to it companies for technicall roles . i plan to gain practical skills .

My Experince at Chandigarh University: Campus Life, Learning and Growth

Likes

The campus is beautiful, spacious, and offers good infrastructure with modern facilities.
The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

Dislikes

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

I like infrasture and the campus facilites most.
Events and fests are also good and orgainsed regularly.
Students get more opportunities here in university.

Dislikes

Hostel food is not good but eatable and enough.
Dresscode is on wednesday that is must to wear.
Massive campus you may face difficulty in roaming.

The curriculum covrs important computer sciemce subject such as programming,DSA, java DBMS,OS and software development.These subjects influenced decisions to choose this course because they provide a stromg foumdation for software engineering . examinations include MST ,EST and assessments .

Chandigarh University the best university

Likes

college life of Chandigarh university is so good, all the events do happen .
teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

Dislikes

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

Firstly getting in this university was not that much difficult, but we also need to give the entrance exam to get good scholarship.
