Course Curriculum Overview

4

MBBS is in my opinion one of the most difficult courses offered. I chose to join MBBS because it is my childhood dream to become a doctor. This course helps you interact with real people, listen to their problems and provide them with a solution. Helping people comes naturally to me and I can't think of a better way to help people than becoming a doctor. Learning the cure to different diseases and how it can save someone's life has been one of my favourite aspects of this course. Another thing is how having the correct knowledge can help prevent or early diagnose a disease and minimise the damage caused by it. I believe an area of improvement is the cost of access to healthcare in our society. Our exams are conducted once every quarter and the difficulty level is moderate.

Internships Opportunities

4

It is compulsory for us to do a one year internship in the college hospital itself. They let us learn various practical medical skills under the guidance of experienced professionals and have a one on one patient interaction. A stipend of ?11,500 is paid per month and only one leave per month is allowed. The shifts are of 12 hours and alternate between day and night shifts every few days.

Fees and Financial Aid

Detailed Fee Structure Year Wise - Tuition Fee : ?15,00,000 Hostel and Mess Fees : ?1,50,000 Others fee : ?40,000 Caution fee paid : ?2,00,000 Registration fee : ?10,000 Admission fees : ?1,00,000 There are no scholarships available. Also, the fees is same for students of all categories.

Campus Life

3

Our campus is on tbe outskirts of the city but you never feel like you're cutoff from the city life experience. There are frequent celebrations of different festivals and special days. There are various days celebrated almost every other week like world heart day, earth day etc. There is a five start restaurant and cafe in the campus. There is a literary club which organises events almost fortnightly. Sports and Cultural Fests are organised every year and everyone's participation is appreciated. There is a departmental store in the campus for our day to day needs. Our classes have projectors and labs have the most advance equipments. The library is filled with various book on various topics by various authors.

Hostel Facilities

3

I stay in the campus hostel itself. It is a three sharing room. There is a provision for one bed, one almirah and one study table and chair for each student. There are shared washrooms with two toilet stalls, two bathing stalls, one washing area and three wash basins per 4 rooms. The rooms are cleaned by maids every alternate day and the washrooms are cleaned daily. There is no lift facility in the hostel. There is one female and one male gaurd present at all times. The mess food is average. Every week has the same menu. You can order food from nearby restaurants or eat at the campus cafe on days the food is not good.

Admission

I applied for various medical colleges via online counselling procedure and was allotted this college based on my NEET score. This college takes admissions based on your NEET score and you have to apply via Karnataka Online State Counselling. The cutoff is different for different categories.

Faculty

4

The faculty are very knowledgeable and experienced. Most of them have graduated from reputed institutions. The teaching methods used by them are engaging and they promote active learning. The medicine department specially has the most approachable teachers and they are willing to take all the initiative to make sure the students learn things of value. In regard to the exam pattern, there are three internal assessments and one final assessment (university exams). The internal assessments are based on the same pattern as the university exams to make sure the students have enough practice related to how to answer the questions. There are 20 Marks worth MCQ questions and 80 Marks worth of theory questions. There is also a 100 marks practical exam for each subject. The curriculum is CBME which focuses on clinical based learning and aims towards teaching the students how to deal with cases they come across in the hospital.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS comprises 19 Subjects which is vast. Knowing so many things make you not only knowledgeable but also you have very important role in society. This course is filled with practical knowledge which are compulsory to get. This gives you skills which only a few people can have. So you already stand in society. The newer changes that has been made by NMC has reduced the time for studies. It was less exhausting before. Exams are properly placed and arranged . They are well divided into theories, practicals, internal examinations, certification for skills, etc. Last year has more papers now.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Doctor is a noble profession , the mere respect which we get by being doctor is one of the prime motive for me to pursuade this course Aside from physiology , anatomy and biochemistry we have a e t c o m which is a type of curriculum which is thought to us in which we learn to deal with different situations during our career and they also help us in terms of improving our communication which is very crucial In real life application . Personally for me the curriculum started on September and we had our first internals in January 2nd around March third round me and we had a final exams in August Honestly speaking MBBS is not an easy course , it is really hard, you need to understand the core, and then applied to even in theory and practical exams. concept
