- Management of University is just screwed up, they have block their University I’d if any student open up the negative aspects of University.
- The Vice - Chancellor also regularly fined many boys if VC shows that they are roaming with girls.
- University just don’t care about their Students you will be fined heavily if you even have 74.9% attendance in any subject.
Course Curriculum Overview
I would say that first 2 year will be a little hectic due to numerous subjects in first 4 semester you have to study for 5-6 subjects in each semester along with supplements and practical but after that things started to settle down after that you will have only maximum 3-4 theory subjects.
Placement Experience
The placements provided by CU is pretty average likes of Thapar, Amity, Chitkara and LPU. All 4 of them are identical in placement parameters. Students are eligible for placements from 5th to 6th semester oneards
Fees and Financial Aid
I have done my B.Tech in (CSE) Branch in 2019-23 Batch at that time semester fee was about ? 83,500 (including ?1,500 security charges and ?2,000 Examination fees). In my college days, we also have to submit an additional fees of ?7,000 so that we can sit in placement drives which was conducted by University In-Campus and Online as well.
Campus Life
The campus life is pretty much decent till you are not caught by VC with girls because it provide a playground for sports activity like football and cricket. University also have a basketball court in their campus and lush green park where you can chill in break time. Several, kiosks and canteen are also present in the park.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is below average because in starting months they will provide you delicious food to attract you and your parents to avail hostel facilities. But, as soon as Admission session closed the food quality gets starting detoriating. As of now 4 beded room (Non-Ac) costs you about ?1,20,000
Admission
I would like to share 1 more personal experience regarding hostel fee that during my admission in 2019. I have to submit the deposit of 50k for hostel booking which we didn't know earlier about that we have only 25k cash at that time the accountant lashed out at my father that you have to submit 50k as of now if you want to book hostel for your child. And regarding admission CU spend blindly on their advertisement so that it can more and more student.
Faculty
Here, subjects are broadly divided in 2 categories Theory and Practical. Marking are as follows:- Practical:- Internal consist of 60 marks 45(weekly assignments) + 15(Lab MST) External is of 40 marks:- 10(Final Practical Worksheet) + 15(Implimantation) + 15(viva-voce) Theory Internal consist of 40 marks:- 20 marks for (mst 1 + mst 2) + 20 marks for (assignment & class test) The faculty to student ratio is 1:72 for theory and 1:36 for Practical subjects.
