Likes
- The college computer labs are equipped with mordern computers and spacious seating arrangement
- The societies during my year have been quite active, but this may vary year to year with new post holders. The teachers are almost alawys on board to support student for setting up cultural activities on college campus.
- The old faculty is nice, the permanent teachers are absolute perfection.
Dislikes
- Small campus area. Small ground but DDA park near by helps
- The building needs repair by the time we reached second yr
- Active society presidents required who encourage participation in activities
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is followed what the DU official decides. Changes should be adopted with coming years. Practical aspect of learning should be the main focus rather than theory. The best classes would be Tally and ITR that give you real life valueable teaching for a commerce student. Same way instead of learnjng what stocks and bonds are in theory students should be taught about investment and how to read stock apps, the portfolio of a company, how to predict future trends and invest. Digital marketing should be encouraged in place of subjects like Principals of marketing that's already been studied in 11-12th. In place of creative writing, content writing cource should be promoted.
Internships Opportunities
Internship usually seen outside campus for Spotify, swiggy, Paytm, TATA, intershall, basket hub etc. Incampus depends on the student president of placeBest time to take one is during semester breaks end of 2nd,4th,6th semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure for Sri Aurobindo college First yr: 18,000 approx Second yr: 19,600 3rd sem 9,600 4th sem 10,000 Third yr: 21,000 approx 5th sem 10,616 6th sem 11,000 Fee is affordable in comparison to other DU colleges. Exam fees is paid during exam period not included in the actul fee.
Campus Life
Trivogna by commerce society, speakers sessions by e-cell and commerce society, women empowerment society is active, rotaract international society is quite active. NCC for boys recently for girl too. And recently the fashion society (bandwagons) has been doing well.
Admission
The college was closer to my home, many PG's and flats near by in malviya nagar and lado sarai. Metro within 500m to college easy for students to travel. The admission process is easy and the union members are always there to help, the admin stff are very sweet contrast to the accounts staff. Cutt offs are high 92% or 600-700 CUET scoring children.
Faculty
Balanced faculty student ratio. Faculty is very welcoming and friendly. Best faculty would be parul goel mam very sweet, kriti yadav mam also very friendly but doesn't mean she would give easy marks, silky mam, shastha mam, akriti mam they make you feel comfortable and encourage class participation and many other teachers.
