Course Curriculum Overview

5

I choose this course because I dont want to take physics chemistry maths because it's very hard subject for me, so i choose botany zoology anthropology still i have back paper, exam timing sometimes morning sometime evening.

Fees and Financial Aid

1st year admission fee was 7040, then exam fee 700 around, 2nd year admission fee was 7040, then exam fee 700-800 around, 3rd year admission fee was 7040 apprx. Exam fee 700-800 aprrx. It depends on either i have back paper or not, 1 single back paper fee is 70 rs along with marksheet and exam fee 50+50 so around 250 for 1 back paper, i have 3 practical subjects so my fee is little high amount then others.

Campus Life

4

Campus life was good, annual festival is amazing but i didn't attend in any event, i make library card but didn't use, technology only in one room have projector nothing else, sports area small, voting

Admission

I choose this clg because i study HS first year and HS second year in this college so my name comes in cut off list so i become selected for this college, i applied for cachar college also but my friend also choose GC so i come to GC one my of my own brother studied from GC so i choose this

Faculty

5

Faculty members was good, course structure is about you have to apply the subject you want but they don't provide exactly what you want, you have to chance the subject by filling up forms, two of my friends didn't get the subjects what they wanted to take, exam system is not so good not so bad, average, because as i told you in exam time all students comes 2 hours ago and stay there to take better seat, marking system is good, students ratio is very high in GC college, always jam, students are good, botany department i like the best because of teachers some are rude but they also help, i didn't like some department and some teachers because they never help even some counter teachers and one aunty was there, very rude my god, she works very slow when we go to take our marksheets, 500 students in one small space, i don't like to stay in line for long and no fan, and counter works very slow, 4 min works took 4hours, just to get a single marksheet, In every semester i have 5 subject so i have to appear unit test of each subject or give assignment if department said, then 3 subject practicals then 5 subjects theory exam, exam is not so difficult if we study, but they become strict in 5th sem, it's been 2 time i gave exam but i have still one back in 5th sem, not so many fail but some fails in exam, for some issue some students cannot appear internal exam(unit test) which leads not to seat in main theory exam, So, main thing is not all students come in college to take class, and sometimes teachers also said that students are less so no class today, sometimes exam comes very early like in 3months, we don't have choice that time we have to give exam otherwise our loss, nothing to do, now new fyug system comes where 4 years degree course, I don't know it's becoming hard to complete degree day by day and fee becoming high not all can efford and also not getting what subjects we want, sports area also small no place to play cricket very small area, no drinkable water in clg.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course i.e. department of Botany because the department ensuring a strong theoretical foundations along with the practical experience. The course prepares well for students as the acedemic results is always good which will make gratutides well equipped for jobs. Some sections of the course should be updated to meet the latest technology, more guests lectures and the interships should be provided to the students. The exams clustering of multiple exams should be within times which relases unneccsary stress, the exams are conducted easy to insane which is very challenging for the students.
