What Students Say

Likes

Campus is very good and wide diversity is seen in the campus.
The teachers are also well supportive and very good.
There are several departments of co curricular activities

Dislikes

Placement opportunities are not at that great compared to other institutions
There are some MNC's which have a minimum cgpa criteria
Hostels are not that great and mess food is below average

Course Curriculum Overview

The BE course is highly valued for its practical approach, covering core engineering fields and preparing students for technical careers. It combines theory with hands-on projects and internships, fostering problem-solving and teamwork skills. While demanding, it provides a strong foundation for future opportunities in engineering

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Placement Experience

There are more off campus placements than the on campus placements.Off campus a student if is having any internship from the 3rd year.He/she has more opportunities than on campus placements drives.Hence one should stand on their own

Fees and Financial Aid

My course fee is 120000 per semester but considering cucat examination, the university provides exceptional opportunities to the students and I am currently on a scholarship my scholarship amount is approximately 50000.

Campus Life

Campus life is very good and students are very fun talking with also the security guards are very nice to every student but there are many restrictions for example boys and girls are separated by barriers on the day of any event in the university

Admission

The attendance criteria of 75 percent is very strict and hence it should be removed as any student is not that punctual to attend all the classes and also once the attendance is submitted it cannot be rectified

Faculty

Examination criteria is divided into two parts internal is on the basis of class performances in the mid sem tests and assignment submission and external is on the basis of final examination, the student has to pass in both.

Interview Experience

Yes there are Group Discussions and on there is a specific subject for the same named as Soft Skills there are quizzes and assignments every week to polish one's inner self and bring out a professional personality

Night Life

Gym is in the hostel itself and also in the sports complex. The sports complex provide a variety of sports and also there is fountain park many cafeterias in the campus itself.the south block is primarily considered the main attraction of the university and many movies and songs are also shot there. The University is of 200 acres

Exploring life at Chandigarh University

Likes

Good and modern campus infrastructure. The university is large, modern with good classrooms, labs, hostels and tec.
Most teachers are knowledgeable, supportive and explain concepts clearly.
The university provides placement drives, training sessions, career guidance and etc.

Dislikes

Large student intake. Due to high number of students, sometimes it can be difficult to get individual attention from faculty.
During peak hours, some areas of the campus can be crowded.
The quality of hostel food is not much satisfying.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Chandigarh University are generally good, with students becoming eligible for campus placements in the later semesters, dependiing on their course. Many companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in IT, engineering, management and other fields. The packages vary by company and profile with some students receiving high packages while others get average entry-level offers. Placement opportunities depend on student skills, academic performance and interview preparation. After completing my degree, I plan to secure a good job in my field, gain practical experience and continue developing my technical and professional skills.
