My honest feedback and personal experience

I actually was totally muddleheaded after my 10th exams. After coming to inter, i decided to go for the CA field but again i was not so interested and dropped out of the course and thought of becoming an entrepreneur and setting up a business and stuff so got into this field. And coming to the college, in this college making ppts and presenting infront of the whole class is one things which I personally like because it makes us lose our stage fear and makes us gain confidence. And one thing which i hate in this college is the total attendance percentage must be 75% and not less by any chance which is such a mean thing because you don't get to have fun and experience the college life and also even if you are unwell or something, they expect your presence on the classroom just for the sake of attendance.

Most of the internships are basically with no stipend. The college provides a google sheet to the students who wants an internship to be provided by the college and for the ones who are ready to go anywhere in the country. And also there is another internship in the VDC block that is Venture Development Center there is an internship available for the students.

The placements are good for the Engineering department and the MBA but not so good for the BBA department. And when we decide to sit for the college placements the faculty members manipulate us for higher studies etc

The annual fee I paid was 2,30,000, which covers all tuition and lab fees, but excludes the bus and hostel fees. The bus fee is around 1890 per month which can be rounded to approximately 2000 per month total in 24,000 per year. Hostel fees are additional and charge separately for management programmes. The annual fee ranges from 2,30,000 to 3,00,00 while for engineering that is BTech. It is around 4,00,000 per year. The fee structure varies across different fields depending on the demand for the course. As far as I know there are only a few scholarships available for academics. One of them is the sibling scholarship which offers a small discount if you have a sibling studying in the same college. Additionally, if you take the Gat Geeta admission test, you may be eligible for a concession on the fees.

My overall college life experience was not so bad. I got to learn a lot of real life experiences as well as bookish knowledge. The college is one of the biggest in the Vizag city. The college has different varieties of food and various canteens. And also the college is working towards the renovation works of the college making it much more premium and luxurious. The college has laboratories, libraries for each block, supermarkets, gym, xerox stationary shop and also a hospital making everything accessible and available to the students.

The only reason why i chose this college is only because it is a big college which has a good name, fame and reputation except for that i would never choose this college. I also thought that the placements were good but the teachers are way too bias that they don't let us sit for the placements and tend to manipulate us to search outside the campus and do internships and go for higher studies.

Some of the faculty members basically tend to deliver the subject concepts and are ready to clarify every single students doubt whereas some teachers, they tend to give a side eye and tend to degrade you. See everything has a good side as well as the bad side. I don't want to tell that Gitam is totally a bad college. But the bad side is the internals is for 70 marks where as the externals is 30 marks so most of the teachers do not give the internal marks as how much you actually deserve. They tend to play with you and make you beg. Only a handful of teachers are quite good like Adhinarayana Rao sir, Sunil sir, Ishrat Naaz ma'am and Mohammed Abdullah sir are good.

The gym has recently been set up in the college wherein the students of Gitam are allowed into it, they just need to book the slots and timings for the gym in the website. Also right beside the gym there is a healthy cafe wherein you can find protein bars, salads and protein shakes. All diet related items for gym. The hostel for the girls as well as the boys are different. And also there is a separate hostel block for the international students. The college time varies for different departments, for some it is from 8'O clock whereas for others it is 9'O clock. So mostly the college starts by 8 and ends by 4 or 5 in the evening. We rarely get to experience the night life at college because of the fests. The fests/ events/dj nights at college are a beautiful piece of art.
