Course Curriculum Overview

I was eager of electrical and the components of them since 9th grade. The curriculum will help you to some extent in your real life but the internship and visits are the one which will really help you to grow

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 160000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship is provided by the companies visiting here itself or you can get an off campus internship if you like. The companies are selecting on the basis of the projects and other works you glacé done in your field

Placement Experience

The placement starts from the 6th sem and you can apply for the companies coming through the links made available by your faculties which is easy to apply . The interview are a lot and maximum students are placed by the university.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of electrical branch during my course was 80000 per sem including all the fees and 2500 per sem for the examination fees . There was no different fee structure caste wise but scholarship is available on the basis of your marks and you can avail it till your final year by maintaining a cgpa of 7.5 .

Campus Life

The interaction with other students is a rare thing and you can get to enjoy the campus with your friends a lot. The events and feats organised are good enough for your group to enjoy and are managed by the university

Hostel Facilities

The one thing which everyone will admire and agree is the hostel facility and maintenance around the hostel . The cleaning and maintenance is very good unlike any other college. The gods is eatable like every other college.

Hostel Fee: INR 90000 per year

Admission

I applied only for this college as I knew every private university is same except for the place they are situated in. I just wanted to come to North India and this was a leading university in the north. You can get admission from application available online

Faculty

Faculty to students interaction was totally dependent upon the students. They will help you if you reach out to them. Few faculties I like are Dr.Surbhi , Dr. Rekha Devi, Dr Sarabjeet Kaur and more. There are 3 exams of every subject excluding the surprise tests.

Interview Experience

The admission are based on the online test for the scholarship conducted and then you can apply for the college with the discounted fees of your scholarship. The exams are related to your chosen field only and are easy to crack

Night Life

The night life inside the campus is for the sports students only as the girls hostel closes by 8. The life outside campus is good if you want to enjoy other things and have a chit chat around sitting at a stall or cafe

Good Campus Life, Great Exposure, and Plenty of Opportunities at Chandigarh University

I like the infrastructure of the university it has a great campus and so many shops there stationary and canteens available here.
I like the security of the Chandigarh university is so good guards and the cctv cameras are all around the campus
I like the quality of study and the knowledge the faculty provide us during the lectures and practicals

Dislikes

I dont like the attendance criteria in this university.
In some of the subjects we have to maintain 90% attendance and that is difficult for the most of students
I dont like the number of lectures in per week in this course like i have 26 lectures per week in my course

Placement Experience:

Placements here in this college are really good. Before the placements they give us all the information about the rounds in placements in the form of seminars and also there are mock tests for the placements and the interview trainings before the placement drives and the AMCAT exam which is for the placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I particularly liked my minor degree in Electronics and Communication engineer which is cover more on the modern Computer hardware concepts . Suggestion as overall faculty can introduce one course each semester as elective which student can learn apart from that branch.

The campus has good learning environment , helpful faculty , and facilities for academic and extracurricular activities

Dislikes

the fees are quite high , and more practical , industry exposure and intership oppertunities would improve the overall experirnce

Placement Experience:

Chandigarh university provides placemnet oppertunities with studnets becoming eligible in later semester . cse studnets can apply to it companies for technicall roles . i plan to gain practical skills .

Many companies visit every year and take tons of student and give better placement opportunity with an average package of 7-8 lakh and i must if you are really serious about studies and academics u will definitely get better ROI

My Experince at Chandigarh University: Campus Life, Learning and Growth

Likes

The campus is beautiful, spacious, and offers good infrastructure with modern facilities.
The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

Dislikes

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

Hostel food is not good but eatable and enough.

Likes

college life of Chandigarh university is so good, all the events do happen .
teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

Dislikes

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

my overall experience at the college has been good so far
the faculty members are generally helpful
campus life is active with various cultural and technologies events

Dislikes

one thing i feel can be improved is the amount of pratical and industry oriented learning
some claases can be more theroy oriented so more hands on activities and pratical sessions would be beneficial
during major events and peak hours the campus become crowded

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
