Course Curriculum Overview
I selected the csbs course because it provided me with the opportunity to combine my two interests : computer science and business. The exams are very hectic not because of the college but because of the ktu university.
Placement Experience
The placements at mec are top notch . The placement cell and training cell are student led. The highest package last year was 56lpa .most of the students in the computer science departments get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
I joined this college under state merit category. Each sem costs ?22,740 . And the whole fours would amount to be ?1,79,000. There's three categories merit, management and nri. The management course fee is 35,000 per sem and nri category costs ?1,00,000 per year.
Campus Life
The overall experience so far is not bad. The infrastructure is a bit towards the negative side. But the faculties placements and facilities make up for it. The clubs are all student led and most of the clubs conduct workshops and programs every week.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel I stay at is the college histel. It's very good and worth the fee paid . The food is not bad and there's enough freedom. The fee is a bit expensive but it's worth it.w rare provided with wifi , furniture and all our queries are listened to.
Admission
I had gotten into symbiosis university of engineering pune but I chose not to go there and chose model engineering college instead . One of the main reasons was because the fee in symbiosis pune was very high compared to model. And model provided better results at the same time. Admission process for getting into mec is KEAM examination.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is 3:60 . They are very approachable and helps us when required.most of the faculty teaches very well but a few of them , their teaching style is not very understandable.other than that all are very helpful.
Night Life
The campus life around model engineering college is not bad . The ladies hostel has curfew of 9.30 and men's hostel has. Curfew of 10. Even though there's very few shops at a walkable distance . There's lots of eateries and stores in a 5 km radius.
