Course Curriculum Overview

4

The exam structure in Delhi University is a semester-based system. I genuinely like this system as the student is in constant touch with the academics besides being in extracurricular activities. This curriculum has helped me in multi-tasking and managing my work with the rest of life tasks seamlessly.

College Events

4.5

Independence day, Bharati Cup (annual sports day), Annual day and all the cultural feats. Departmental fests are also conducted to make the students more indulge in the course in a fun manner. Students participate in different colleges and go for the same. This is a great way to gain self-confidence and realization of oneself and potential.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I pursued Bachelors of Commerce. The fees structure is quite feasible. As far as I remember I paid somewhat around 3000 for my first year and the additional expenses range from 1500-200. As progressing towards the second and the third year the fees reduced. Additional expenses include examination fees, cultural funds, and so on.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not opted for any of these. I'm not aware of the procedure as I have not applied for any of the loans or scholarship in my schooling or college level.

Campus Life

4

My college was initially off campus but when I entered my third year it was declared under the south campus. Besides not being a campus college, campus life was amazing! Every sport and extracurricular was present in my college and to my surprise was better than I expected. I too was the part of my college's dance society and soon became the Vice president.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes! The alumni of the college were generous enough to help and assist. The network of pass outs is quite good and bonded till yet, which is indeed a thing to appreciate.

Admission

I got admitted to Bharati College on the basis of my 12th result. It was a pure merit base. The admission process is quite simple. Once you know that you are eligible for the desired course, you can visit the College with your mark sheets and valid documents. Once verification is done by the college staff, you are admitted to the College after paying the required fees.

Faculty

4.5

My college faculty is amongst the nicest in Delhi University. The professors are helpful and know what they are teaching. Their style of teaching is one of the best things I remember from my college days. The faculty is aware of the children and what they need at what point. Conducting examinations, class assessment, etc. They know all the fair means of having it.

Students of 3rd year are eligible for the same. Mckinsey, BCG, Bain, Blackrock, Meesho etc being the most prestigious recruiters. Highest package varies, but it went around 36 L last year. Avg being around 8 L. I would say most students who apply for placements get placed, however only a few get placed in the top companies. I personally wish to pursue an MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Although, people say that B.Com doesn't have a great scope to it, I feel like there are many life lessons that we are taught during our college years. Since the introduction of NEP 2020, there has been a rather great emphasis on practical learning. In our college, we are asked for presentations and group projects to promote learning and communication. The presence of SEC and VAC also helps you develop your soft skills, groom your personality and live a happy and healthy life. Exams are help at the end of every semester. There are a few guides and PYQs with the help of which a student can prepare for these exams. They are relatively easy in my opinion and do not require extreme efforts. Overall, it's a great experience and a great opportunity to learn so many things.

In the context of a fictional scenario, the placement scenario would depend on the specific college within Delhi University. Some colleges have robust placement cells that facilitate campus placements with various companies. The placement scenario can vary, and it's advisable to check with the specific college for accurate and up-to-date information.

I choose b.Com because I am from a commerce background. It is an open college class held only on Sundays classrooms are good but washrooms are average. Teachers are experienced and well-educated. Exams are held on every 6 months semester wise you have to study hard to clear exams.
