Course Curriculum Overview
I believe as a psychology student i have experienced that the teachers make the students apply their study on various practicals that need subjects of their own and also conduct many activities that involve in interacting with the real world.
Internships Opportunities
I am unaware of such employment opportunities but there are some clubs that encourage students to do something on their own related to the field of the clubs like organisation, even management etc. Even ncc proves to be a good direction for students.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of dav college Chandigarh for B.A. programme is around 25000, which then got increased wigh the year to around 30000. This does not include everything. For students who opt for practical subjects like psychology, geography etc. the fee is 2-3k more.
Campus Life
College organises a fest in an year, around the month of march i guess. The fest is mainly for 3 days. Day 1 is for the himachali singers, day 2 for haryanvi and 3 for punjabi. The books are pretty cheap and used ones can be taken too and returned after use.
Admission
The admission process of my college is pretty simple. Just as per the cut-off list. Although i saved it for my backup college because initially I opted for DU but the results got late and my anxiety kicked it and i took admission here. At first I regretted it but now i have no regrets because at least i got to live a life i never thought existed in the first place not that there are not more advantages. The college does its best but mostly it depends upon the students.
Faculty
The faculty can be fully supportive but only to those who actually show up in the classes. Especially the psychology department is just the push you need to excel at studying the subject. Each sem has its final exams and before that there are mst. Pretty easy.
Night Life
There's a gym of average quality. There's not much of a night life as college entry is prohibited after 8 and girls college gets closed. The boys college is closed too after 10. To be fair there's not much to do that late in Chandigarh city.
