- the campus is huge and serene with beauty and harmony
- the infrastructure and buildings are adjustable and decent
- teaching method is good but there still can be seen some pros and cons among the teachers
Dislikes
- even there is availability of smart projectors, teachers dont use it often
- internet is trash in come corners and rooms
- we dont get holildays on saturdays lol, as a catholic college there should have been holidays on saturdays
Course Curriculum Overview
I TOOK BACHELORS IN ARTS AND MY COURSE IS ENGLISH MAJOR. EVER SINCE I TOOK ARTS IN CLASS 11 AND 12, I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN OPTING FOR ENGLISH MAJOR COURSE. I HAVE A LITERATURE AND FOR IMPROVEMENT IN ENGLISH I DECIDED TO TAKE THIS COURSE.
Fees and Financial Aid
The admission fees was 10052 INR, which was included within the first semester's first installment fees. The second installment fees which is to paid after every 2-3 months of the semester was 10052 INR. Therefore total fees for my course per semester is 20105 INR
Campus Life
RIGHT NOW, WE HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED ANY COLLEGE FESTS BECAUSE OUR COLLEGE FEST IS ALWAY HELD IN FEBRUARY. BUT GOT TO EXPERIENCED OTHER CELEBRATIONS AND CLUB ACTIVITIES. A LOT OF BOOKS WITH ENOUGH RECOURSES IN AVAILABLE IN OUR COLLEGE AND OUR COLLEGE CONSISTS ONE OF THE LARGEST LIBRARIES IN ENTIRE MEGHALAYA. THERE ARE A LOT OF SPORTS AND CLUB AND EVEN IN OUR COLLEGE HAS ITS OWN GYM
Admission
FROM LAST YEAR, I HAVE BEEN DREAMING OF GOING TO DELHI UNIVERSITY. BUT AS DU CONSIDERS ONLY CUET RESULTS , I HAVE FAILED TO GET LISTED IN A GOOD COLLEGE OF DELHI UNIVERSITY BECAUSE MY PERCENTILE WAS AVERAGE. SO SHILLONG WAS A SECOND OPTION AND SO I TOOK ADMISSION IN MY CURRENT COLLEGE WHICH IS ST EDMUNDS COLLEGE, AND I CONSIDER IT TO BE ONE OF THE BEST COLLEGES IN NORTH EAST. I GOT ADMISSION IN THIS COLLEGE THROUGH MERIT BASED AND MY DEPARTMENT SELECTED ME
Faculty
The faculty is okay and appreciable. But sometimes there are some faculty members who are not honest with the students and are harsh on them, doesnt avail much. For best faculties i would consider the canteens as i like the food and that one stationary guy who is very helpful. The library is huge and is full of recources, books, documents etc. A full detail of any courses of books are available in the library.
Night Life
OH THE NIGHT LIFE IS SO FASCINATING. OUR COLLEGE GYM IS AFFORDABLE, WE HAVE 5 CAFETERIAS, A HUGE LIBARARY WITH A BIG OPEN BASKETBALL CUM FOOTBALL FIELD. THERE ARE 2 HOSTELS. ONE OF THE FAMOUS HANGOUT PLACES INSIDE THE CAMPUS IS THE COFFEE CORNER.
