Course Curriculum Overview

3

There are rarely any fest or activities in our college. Mostly because the college focuses on a student's future more. But honestly all work and no play makes any student dumb so if they could include just once a month extra fun activities would be nice Overall the teaching and curriculum in the college is a 10/10

Fees and Financial Aid

Including the above mentioned criteria I need to pay for my college...it all comes together at 8000 to 16000...in installments... including extra curricular activities like Vocational training classes and also important things like Identity Card etc

Campus Life

3

There have been lots of fest in the college including college week and mostly held on the month of May. There are alot of books which are perfect for a student during her studies. We have lots of learning technology in the classroom including the projector in each classroom. Sports like basketball, volleyball is played in the college We do have a student council club.

Admission

The reason I didn't go to the other college was because of the fees structure, as I come from a middle class family with an average income..I couldn't attend such a prestigious college with a fees structure that was out of budget so I had to compromise. I wasn't rejected from the other college only because in St Mary's I got spot admission and soni easily got admission right in...and the process of admission and fees was negotiable

Faculty

3

The faculty are less compared to the number of students studying...also semester wise there are more girls...the faculty are quite friendly and helpful when needed. The English department teachers are quite friendly and helpful in our college. Most teachers are quite strict so most times are never approached. Yearly there are around 3 semester exams in a year. They're quite though as to say so myself. About almost 30% students fail to clear.

Night Life

3

Honestly since the classes start at 8:00 in the morning and end before 4:00 in the afternoon... students mostly go straight home or to their hostels unlike some who still hangout in the library or canteen. Also most localities around the college are quite safe.

Other Applied Colleges

St. Edmund's College | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Geography)

The Fees structure was out of my family's income

The course is quite vast. But it only consisted of three subjects for my batch before NEP. We only have Western music, Hindustani classical music and regional music. But courses with NEP has a lot. And not just focuses on music but extras too.

I would rate an 8 because curriculum is essential to guide teachers in what to teach, how much depth of knowledge is needed for the grade and a timeline to follow so the syllabus will be completed. Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course psychology itself is a mind blowing. While studying the course I was able to know the details regarding problem-solving, attention seeking, decision making, concrete thinking ans so on. As the curriculum is more theoretical, the real world application is extremely limited. The only exposure we get is at our internship programs. Other than that we are limited to our classrooms. The exams lasts about half to three-fourth a month and there are 1-2 days gaps between each exam so the student can make some last minute preparations.

I choose this course because i wanted to study geography and to know about it and i had to choose this institution because in Tripura there was no good college which provide BA geography honours so i had to move to Meghalaya...it is fun to study during 5-6th semester where we have to do field study with different instruments the are so amazing and in 6th semester they take us to trekking but unfortunate we were not taken because of exams ....the Nehu exams are so hard

The college needs to work out a bit and have an accommodation for outstation students. That way, more students will be interested to study in the college. They should try their best to have it in the college.

Students take admission so as to get good placements. However, this college doesn't really have that option and so it needs to improve in that aspect as it'll ultimately give name to the college and also its alumnis.
