Likes
- The best thing in my college is the college infrastructure that attracts students for admission.
- Has a huge central library in college. Also they have other libraries in some departments.
- The course curriculum is quite big and covers a lot of things.
Dislikes
- Though the course curriculum is vast enough but they won't teach you all. Most of the things you have to study on your own.
- The faculties are waste like they won't support you in studies. Lucky if you find one to.
- They will tell you to attend some summer school or winter school which is obviously paid and will force you to register and pay the money.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is quite vast and some of them are updated and relavent to current industry. If you cover the course curriculum well you will be prepared for at least some entry level jobs in the industry. But have to study on your own. The faculty should have to update their teachings method to engage with students. There will be two mid sem and one end sem exam per semester and if you have enough basic knowledge it'll be easy to pass the examination but have to study a lot for better marks.
Placement Experience
Campus placement are okay some companies are coming specially at least to our department. With an average package of 2.5 LPA with profiles like BDE, Marketing and Developers etc. Only a few students are getting placed like 20 out of 100.
Fees and Financial Aid
The base tuition fees for my college is 72000 per year this may be variable as you can negotiate the fees. Above the yearly tuition fees we have to pay 2500 exam fees per semester. There were no other fees. About scholarship they support MP state scholarship as per your caste certificate. They also provide Sage Scholarship if you are not eligible for state scholarship and do good in studies.
Campus Life
Campus Life here will be quite good if you don't fall for the student politics and the gang peoples. They hosts(you have to host they will only give you permission) various events throughout the year so if you are social person you won't be bored. They have events like Tech fest, Model United Nations, Sports week etc
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is okay they have 3 shared room with both AC and Non AC. Attached bathroom and daily cleaning. Meal they will provide 3 time a day but not good. Sometimes they provide 2/3 days old food as well.
Admission
When you look from outside what you will see is what they are willing to show you. The will show you their infrastructure that looks quite well. Advanced labs (Apple Lab/Android Lab) though throughout the years you will realise they are waste. So back to the point they have a very good marketing so yes I fall for it. The admission process is simple fill a simple form with interested course and contact details they will only call you for admission. They have their own entrance exam but it's not mandatory.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is okay. Faculties no they don't have enough knowledge and won't teach you well. Some faculties are well they are supportive and can help you in studies but don't expect it from everyone. There will be multiple exam per semester starting from CIE-I i.e. Continuous Internal Evaluation, CIE - II, Internal practical examination, external practical examination and finally End sem examination. Till the external practical examination you can manage without studying but have to study thoroughly to pass the end sem examination. The theory paper consists of 60 marks and practical papers contains 40 marks total.
Night Life
They have cafeteria, gym, a sports complex the last two is paid for fitness. There is no nightlife for girls as you have to enter hostel before it gets dark only you can go out to the hostel front. There are gardens open gym are other spaces with a good view for hangout but you will see people making out as well.
