Course Curriculum Overview
Present course curriculum requires some effective changes so it is more practical. In over institute there is CGPA system with credit point in each subject. In my opinion it is some how good but needs some changes.
Placement Experience
There is a training and placement cell in my institute which responsible for placement in the campus. T&p provides different types of internship with collibration with different NITs', IITs and other industrial companies.
College Events
In our institute there is a annual cultural fest call UDGAM. which is celebrated under the cultural society of the institute.There is a technical fest called Abhiyantran. During Abhiyantran there is many type of technical events are organised such as RIS, EXbution etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
In All Nit there is a fee structure in which all sc and St students are exempted from tuition fee and all economical backward student (income less than one lacks) also get fuss exemption. Income having one to five lacks pay only one third of 125000 of tuition fee and all other students have to pay full tuition fee.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is many scholarships offered by GOVERNMENT OF INDIA and many other offered by foreign Governments institutes. MITECS is such type of a scholarship. In this scholarship about 100 students from all over India goes to Canada for summer training. Just like that there is Sn boss fellowship in this fellowship some students goes to America for summer fellowship.
Campus Life
Yes there are separated lab for each subjects and every branch have many labs. There is sports games called INTER NIT among all NITs. And there is a annual sports week in the Campus. There is a annual culture fest UDGAM and ABHIYANTRAN annual tech fest of NIT SIKKIM.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes they are helpful. Alumni and seniors of my NIT is like other nits. They helps us a lot. The environment of NIT SIKKIM is very positive. So yes they are so helpful. Thank you all my seniors and alumni of NIT SIKKIM.
Admission
JEE MAINS entrance exam conducted by NTA ( FORMERLY CBSE) AND counseling conducted by josaa ( josint seat allocation athority ). After JEE main JEE advanced is conducted by IIT for admission in IIT.
Faculty
In my institute there are faculty who completed his doctorate in his field. So in the knowledge only those completed his doctorate only eligible for faculty institute like an institute of national importance.
