Remarks
The university has a very poor standard. Do not join this place. There is too much politics here. The university doesn't even come in top 200 colleges in the NIRF ranking of 2019. Please do find good places to study psychology.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course is good and standard but teachers are not able to complete it on time. There are 3 exams that are your internals per semester and best two will be taken out of three. Entrance exam has 2 major portion. One is gk, general mental ability and other part has psychology.
Placement Experience
There is no placement and job opportunities in my university. No, the college doesn't provide any internship nor even help students to get it by themselves. They prefer commit and vomit system in their academics.
College Events
Student elections, hostel and department freshers and farewell party. Psychology day that's it. Student elections are celebrated as if national elections are taking place. There is a lot of Gunda Giri that happens in the college when these programs happen.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible! It is 1810 for one year for MSc Psychology course. It is very cheap in terms of academic fees because it is a central University. In second year you are supposed to pay 1910 which is again affordable.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am not receiving any scholarship neither I know about any scholarship provided by my college. My classmates are getting merit cum means scholarship somehow. I am not familiar with the procedure. But you can avail this scholarship.
Campus Life
There are Labs, computer lab, library, in my department and they are good. Every department has its own library. Water supply is also good but this is no AC in classrooms and you have to suffer in summers.
Hostel Facilities
I got Shatabdi hostel. Hostel infrastructure is worst. The hostel fees is 13,000 for a year but I got hostel in the end of December and now I have to vacate the hostel in May. The hostel fees is excluding mess food. There is no mess in my hostel. I have to cook my own food. There is no water supply between 1PM -5PM. Rooms and washroo are horrible in conditions.
Alumni/Alumna
Yeah. Seniors are helpful. They will help you whenever possible. You can live peacefully with your seniors. Classmates will not co-operate very much. Seniors are the only means of survival. I haven't met any alumni.
Admission
University has Entrance exam for both UG and PG courses and once you qualify it you can take admission in the course of your choice. A merit list is prepared on the basis of your secured marks. Make sure you only approach the university and check your name in the merit list. Nobody will tell you about your name in the list. Counseling dates will be highlighted in the university website.
Faculty
Not upto the mark. Being a psychologist they don't know how to behave with students. If you have any serious health issues without even understanding your condition they will start judging you. They don't have clear concepts in many subjects. Only a few teachers are good with proper knowledge.
