Remarks

Well, overall the college is quite nice, surrounded by green trees and lakes, the atmosphere is quite serene. The teachers are quite supportive and the seniors are very helpful, most of the electricity generated in our college is by solar panels , day-by-day college is progressing.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is quite relevant to the subject we study, I being a second year student haven't yet studied the core subject of my discipline, as for the general subjects ,the course curriculum was do-able , though for subjects like Engineering Drawing, the curriculum is quite old. As for the examination pattern, we have a Mid-semester examination of 30 marks, a minor examination of 10 marks , a 50 marks End-Semester exam and rest 10 marks are sessional.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement and job opportunities are decent, this year the average package of the every branch was above 6 lakhs per annum, the package for master courses is also decent. The offers this year were about 105% with 88% students placed as of May 01. yes the college provides internship but I don't have details of stipend and experience.

College Events

5

We have alot of small events being organised throughout the year, for major events we have a technical fest-Tecnoesis, we have various technical events under this and two musical concerts. Then we have Incandescence- the cultural fest, wherein we have four nights, Glitterati-the fashion show, Nirvana-the comedy night, Carpediem- the musical night and Thundermarch- the metal night. We then have Posua-the spring fest that marks Assamese festival Posua. We also have branch technical weekends.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is structured on the basis of categories, the hostel fees is same for all the categories but the tuition fees is different for different categories, there are scholarship for below poverty line students, rest the fee-structure is feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

We have many scholarship programs for SC/ST students, we have SBI bank inside our campus, so availing student loan is feasible. I have not availed any scholarship, therefore I don't know much about the scholarship programs.

Campus Life

4

We have a lot clubs and societies in our college, ILLUMINITS the literary ,fine arts society, NSD -the dance club, ADVAY- the dramatics club, Obvietto-The photography club, then we have spiritual club, music club, Eco-club, Coding club, Machine Learning club. For sports we have football, cricket, badminton, tennis, table-tennis,chess,ludo, skating. The labs are well equipped and have good lab technicians.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Yes, I have opted for Hostel , I would rate the hostel infrastructure as 3/5. There is 24-hours electricity and water supply, the room are spacious enough. We have to clean our rooms ourselves, the washrooms are cleaned twice daily. The food quality is average, but the sunday feasts are delicious.

Alumni/Alumna

We have an annual Alumini event, where the batch that passed out from the college 25 years ago comes, we also LinkedIn groups with the alumni, the network is quite helpful and strong. The seniors are really like family, they are very helpful.

Admission

For getting admission in a National Institute of Technology, firstly I had to clear the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Mains) with a rank of 21263, then I went through 7 online-counselling rounds, after which I got Electronics and Communication branch.

Faculty

4

The faculty of my college have plenty of knowledge, and all of them have huge number of papers released by them, they are as strict as the faculty should be. Proficiency in English is an issue, but it doesn't bother that much.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course i.e department of Botany because the department ensuring a strong theoretical foundations along with the practical experience. The course prepares well for studies as the academic results is always good which will make graduates well equipped for jobs. Some sections of the course should be updated to meet the latest technology, more guests lectures and internships should be provided to the students. The exams clustering of multiple exams should be within times which releases unnecessary stress, the exams are conducted easy to insane which is very challenging for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is not at all easy like all the other courses but since this course deals with life and death situations I would say the practical applications introduction has lead to a better side of this course. This course is completedly real world based curriculum. The faculty members are well equipped to everything they teach and the methods currently focus on application based studies. This course has many exams each month and therefore the student has to study properly.
