Course Curriculum Overview

5

As my profession to do Doctorate in Tamil Literature and to be a Salesian Priest. To understand the theology, Tamil is the basic language to be known. That's why I took Tamil Literature. As the course, preparing us to be a great Public Speakers. There should a Better way of explaining the histories of Tamil Literature as to be interactive. There's no difficulties while preparing for exams, So It's good to do.

Internships Opportunities

5

Really I don't know about how it works, as I'm a Undergraduate first year student. I too eager to know about internship opportunities available in my college and projects and outcomes to clarify the tasks and the companies, roles offered under internships with stipend

Placement Experience

5

On 5th Semester onwards, there will a call for the Placements. As in my Department, I don't know , how it works. I'm a first year student. But the less students are getting admitted in the companies. As my plans after getting the degree is to Join Salesian Congregation to become a Priest with a Service minded for the uplifting the Youth.

Fees and Financial Aid

The detailed fee structure for my Under graduate degree is around ?35, 000 /- and there is no tuition fees or any other things to be paid. This fee may vary for my batchmate because of their lack of attendance or any fee due avails. My college provids Scholarship for the students, as I'm in the first year and I don't know about the process.

Campus Life

5

Usually the Ovation are conducted in the Month of September, then the Department Festivals in the Month of December and more. There's a lot of book to be used in the library but I'm just using only my major books in the library. There's a projector to be displayed for a better view. Yes, I'm in the club called Entrepreneur Development Cell.

Admission

First of all, I've applied only at Loyola College, Chennai. As I'm passionate to become a Salesian Priest. Not by the name I chose this college, my brother just applied on this as I said to pursue in Tamil Literature. The admission process is just with the Merit, nothing more than this.

Faculty

5

The faculty-to& student relationship is good. As they never deny us to learn with them. My favorite faculty is Mr. Ashwin Parameshwae, English Professor. We have learnt not only the knowledge of lessons, he thought us the Life Lessons and a Moral Lessons, as how we have to be a Human. There's no faculty that I don't like, everyone are unique in their career. There are totally 3 exams per semester , like 1st CIA Exam, 2nd CIA Exam and Semester. These are the exam pattern of my college. Some of my classmates getting failed in the major subjects , such as we are majoring in Tamil Literature, it's little bit hard to understand the Literature as well as the history. So they get fail in the exams. Yes, the course curriculum is more relevant to the current world, as there's less number of students who pursue Tamil Literature as their profession.

Interview Experience

1

I didn't faced any group interviews or any written test for admission, there was no topics of GD, Interview questions or test pattern. There is no process and other criteria for admission. As I mentioned earlier, I didn't received any interview for the admission to prepare for these rounds

Night Life

2

I don't know about the nightlife of the college, as I'm a day scholar . But my friends who are in the Hostel will tell about their experiences in the nightlife in the hostel. They will enjoy to have their dinner in the refectory.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The department of English not only offers good education but also so many values to lead our life. Faculties were so friendly in clearing students' doubts. There was personality development course to improve students' personality. Students had to choose any other subjects other than they are studying for sbi course. Due to this students learn about other subjects too.

Madras School of Economics - [MSE], Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)
Reviewed on Sep 17, 2024(Enrolled 2024)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well the course provides almost everything which is needed and available. This is not a normal economics course as it involves statistics, python, core math and also dives into data science. This allows the students to explore various subjects and can choose which is their best fileld. The curriculum overall is very rigorous and intense but you can crack it if you study regularly. About the frequencies of the examinations, we have 2 internal examinations and 1 end semester examination. I can guarantee that this course is super rigorous but im not sure if i would necessarily say that the course is "practical" and it helps us in the real word. I cannot comment on the practicality of the courses. The exams are not super difficult and its moderate. Getting more than 90% can be challenging although clearing the paper won't be an impossible task.
