Course Curriculum Overview

3

As CU has great placements and I had intrest in computer science , so I opted this course. The curriculum prepares us well for the technical World as well as the real world as it includes Subjects like Human Values, Environment etc. There are 3 exams in a sem that are MST1,MST2,End sem

Internships Opportunities

3

A lot of internships are offered in Chandigarh University. A lot of companies come and give opportunities for internship and a lot of offers are made by the companies the CV should be good to claim the internship.

Placement Experience

3

Placements are good... students are eligible for placement from the 4th sem only...Total 900 companies visited. 50+ offers were made for 20LPA..60+ offers for 15LPA..200+offers for 10LPA and more. Highest package was 54 LPA and average package was 8LPA I will go for placement after completing the degree

Fees and Financial Aid

The semester fees for our Course in our University is 1,20,000. So Yearly fees becomes 2,40,000. But there is an exam, named CUET which is held while admissions.Based on the score of this exam , students get their scholarship. But the scholarship comes with a condition of maintaining 7.5 or more CGPA.

Campus Life

3

Chandigarh University has great college life..A lot of fests and cultural activities take place. When students take admission a lot of fests are there in the orientation many singers and other artists come to entertain the students. Then in the freshers any singer comes like this time Monali Thakur was there. Then technical fest take place cultural fest take place and the main CU fest is there every year. Sports and extra curricular activities offered on campus are good. There are many student runs social groups clubs like my friend also also has club started with the permission from authorities

Admission

First of All ,my score in JEE wasn't good,so I wasn't getting any government colleges. So I had to opt for any private college,so I compared all the universities or private colleges available to me. At last I chose CU as it was near to my hometown, has good placements, infrastructure and college life. The admission in CU is easy...there is an exam named CUET and it also takes admissions on base of the JEE score

Faculty

3

Faculty to student ratio is good. Enough faculty is there. Some faculties have very good relationship with the students. But some don't care about students, the only thing which matters to them is their job. They don't pay attention to students that they are understanding the concepts or not.

Night Life

3

Nightlife is good but there is some strict rules for girls which reside in the hostel as in summers 8:00 p.m. is the time they have to enter the hostel and winters 7:00 p.m. is the time full stop but for boys this no time they can Rome in the night up to 10 or 11 p.m. there is hostel in boys gym cafe areas are also there libraries there in every block. There are many hangout places in in our university like food republic and Pentagon which is in D6 and creative foods many more.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
