The ratio of girl's in the university was more compared to boy's.

Dislikes

Actually the tution fees was a bit costly for the students

The university majorly focuses upon the students overall academic performance and the university was strict regarding it's disciplines and time tables. The university conducts exam frequently and it keeps on track regarding the performance of the students.

Internships Opportunities

Internships opportunities are available for students, industrial visits, etc are being conducted by the university for the students. Different types of programs are being conducted by the university that actually helps in the betterment of the students.

Placement Experience

Campus placement facility for this university is quite active and students gets the opportunity to work in different sectors with the help of this university. The package is also quite good enough to start your career with.

Fees and Financial Aid

The university yearly tution fees have increased now but back in the year 2019 it was 30000 per semester for my department. The tution fees was same for all the categories and different scholarships were available for students that were given by the university.

Campus Life

Different types of events and college fests are conducted by the university. Annual college fests are also conducted by the university every year and other different types of events that brings different types of opportunities for the students are also conducted.

Admission

I applied for this university because of their rules and disciplines. The university did not conduct any sort of interviews or exams for the selection process and the admission procedure in this university is quite simple.

Faculty

The faculty members of the university was well Qualified and experienced and even freshers were given chance. The university was following the UGC guidelines and according 2 final semesters exams were being conducted by the university per year.

Night Life

Hostels, Gym, library and cafeteria are also available for students in the university premises. Famous hangout places inside and outside the university campus are also available for students. The whole vibe of the university campus is very friendly and good for the students.

St Edmund's college life

Likes

the overall campus, it's huge and nice. you can see trees everywhere
there are four canteens in the campus offering variety of foods
The professionals incharge of you are nice and will help you with everything

Dislikes

too many events, this college holds too many events

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is comprehensive ,balancing theory with practical applications. It effectively prepares students for industry challenges and also integrating more interactive teaching methods could improve engagement. Exams are frequent and moderately difficult occurring timely to assess progress without causing excessive stress.

Good environment, good mood

Likes

They have proper sanitation for girls as required
They have proper food and water supplies as required
They have proper stuff and faculty management

Dislikes

Examination timings are to be fixed during the winter
Uniform to be proper suring the winter ad required
Class timings have so much gaps during the morning

Course Curriculum Overview:

The indoor and outdoor curriculum activities is very on and off but when they conduct fest it is very nice and they have proper members of the group to provide with all the requirements and proper needs for the student's

A detailed review on my college (St Anthony’s,Shillong):pros and cons

Likes

There are many students here from different communities,tribes,and culture which helps unify poeple from different backgrounds
The faculty is nice and the teaching staff is supportive and well trained
The environment of the college is nice with proper balance of both scholastic and co scholastic activities

Dislikes

The fact that the department of fishery science is not recognised by the ICAR is a big setback for the department
There is huge number of group of students from different communities which also result in extreme communalism in some of them
There is a low number of faculty from other communities

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of my course is pretty good and helpful with proper teaching about the subject, it is also helpful for real-life work and activities with proper hands-in skills teaching and theoretical knowledge. But there is a big setback that it is not recognised by the Indian council of agricultural research(ICAR). Recognition by the ICAR will have a big boost in the course and department

The students and the teachers are friendly
There are various clubs which are active and promotes extra curricular activities in a broad way

The infrastructure is so old....some part could be improved

Course Curriculum Overview:

Although this is a private college still it has recognition for the efficiency of this college. I wasn't interested in medicine and engineering. so I had to do a BSc so this college is one of the best in North East India. From the chemistry department, there are various scopes such as the food industry, oil industry, wax industry, ONGC, OIL, and various jobs. The teaching method is efficient and if there is any chance to improve then I would like to say that faculty should monitor that every student is being facilitated with proper materials.

Remarks:

Well, it is a great experience at my college. People are quite open-minded and positive always giving help to those in need. The teachers are quite friendly and always helpful. The college facilities like the library and study materials are quite fine. The college campus is also big enough to feel free to walk around. In short about my college it is one of the best.

Good Experience

Remarks:

The college management is very polite and kind. Overall, I think that I finally know why it is one of the top colleges. It has made such a positive impact on me and given me the confidence to face the real world. It has taught me that being timid and shy is of no use. The fees are feasible even for common people and faculties are well trained. It got all what it needs to be a good college and yes it is. I would recomment it to everyone.

A review on USTM

I applied in Gauhati University but didnt get selected there because I couldn't crack their entrance exam. The main advaantage of Gauhati University over my University is that it is a government University and requires less money Since it is a private University so no entrance exam is held for admission into it.
