Course Curriculum Overview
My course is chemical engineering is four year program which include a internship or project.One year is divided into two semester . I choose this course because only three government colleges have chemical engineering and other one or two private college. Because of this we have less competition compared to other B tech course and more opportunities. Government engineering college Calicut Is the one of the best college this degree have. They need to improve workshops and labs for more job oriented way
Internships Opportunities
Our senior get good internship in some companies which are top in India and some of them get staipend also. After their internship according to their skill and knowledge they selected as permanent employees in same companies with high packages .
Placement Experience
We have quite good placement in last year according to students skills and cgpa . Our collage offering placement in companies like L&T , Tata industries,reliance industries, adani refineries, vmware , tek systems etc with annual packages of average of 6 lakh .
Fees and Financial Aid
We have yearly fees of 9500 for tution and other fees like bus fee , exam fee,sports fee , insurance fee, pta fee and some another fee are also included which make totally fees of 15000.I don't have any scholarships .
Campus Life
we have great ragging free campus . The seniors are friendly and very supportive.they share notes and previous year question paper . We have clubs like film club Nss club etc they provide great opportunities for social services and well fare . All the classes have projector and board according to teachers they can use projectors or board. When we talk about sports they give less priority. There is no ground in our collage.
Admission
I had cleared entrance exam keam then I get the collage .I applied only few collages in allotment and the first opinion was this collage .I choosed this collage when compare to other government collage because of best faculty line up , collage campus , placement , and other factors which other collage don't have.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is less because of it is an govt collage . The faculty are well educated And all have PhD in respective core subjects.The faculty and student relationships are less . They come to the class and teach respective portions and they go. Subin micheal this is the one of the best faculty in our college which teaches introduction to mechanical engineering and his class is awesome and our maths teacher Vijayalakshmi is the best faculty in our college she teaches best concept in best Way and All teachers are good We have series exams In every semester. With the total marks of 30 . The marks from Series exam Is taken as internal marks . The semester exam is out of 16 max marks and we need 24 marks for pass out. We have five subjects mathematics,Engineering mechanics, physics, introduction to mechanical engineering and civil engineering, python In first semester.
Night Life
Because of collage in Calicut city. Outside the collage have great night life and food . Our collage have gym ,library and some public area we Called corners. The local people are friendly and well behaving people that make us more comfortable in that place
