We have ac classrooms , projectors in every class and advanced computer labs
We have a large playground and various sports are played there
We have various events and programmes in our college

Dislikes

Some teachers are rude only the HODs are rude
The building is very old as it was establish in 1977
The parking area is very dirty and full of nails and rocks

I have passed 12 th with commerce and BCom is the key to success for a commerce student Our curriculum encourages real learing and working internships Less no of subjects can be a good part for the course

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for all students is ?15000 and people opted for fee weiver is ?4000 All the fees are included in the charge No fee weiver for ST SC OBC only for EWS Ishan Uday Scholarship which gives ?80000 per annum

Campus Life

Quoso fest , College week , DJ night and various other fests are there in our college We have a vast range of books in our college We have Ac and projectors in our classrooms and speakers as well We have badminton court , basketball ground , playground

Admission

In our college we don't have attendence issue and it is the largest and greates commerce institute of north east Assam No none of the college rejected me as i have good percentage The admission process is completely online

Faculty

All the teachers are very good and friendly except the HODs We can interact with all the teacher and they are very supportive as well and encourages us for everything They are very friendly and passionate

Night Life

We have gym , library and siting area and common room aslo We have boys hostel in the campus whcih is very affordable Fatbelly , LCB and various other places are nearby to hangout and enjoy college life

Gauhati University: A Students perspective.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is an integrated course where i will be getting a masters degree after completing 5 years. Only tezpur university provides this course other than GU. The curriculum prepares students mainly to pursue careers in academic fields and research fields. More practical aspects can be added to provide a holistic knowledge to the students. The exams are very well planed.

I applied to a lot of other colleges but those were all backup for me if I didn't get admission here . I applied in dispur college , kc das commerce college , guwahati college etc . We are admitted to colleges here using the samarth website. There are two merit lists provided by each college in the samarth website. I wasn't selected in the 1st merit list in gcc which ofcourse scared me a bit , but I got my names in the other previously mentioned colleges but I wanted to wait for the second merit list for which I had to hear a lot like what if I didn't even get my name on the second list of gcc . But I was sure I would get because my percentage was just 0.4% short from the cut off of the last merit list . I wanted this college because of emotional attachments + gcc has one of the best merits among all the commerce colleges in the entire northeast . Even this year in the toppers list published by gauhati university, 9 out of 10 students were from Gcc itself...Read More

I've applied to many other colleges in Guwahati city like KC DAS commerce College , Dispur College, but I have choosed this college at last, because this college is also known as the best college in the entire Northeast, so I have chooses this college.
