Likes

I liked various things some of which are regular festive celebrations like last yr we celebrated a lot festivals in college limited college timings also made it easy for us to study for other competative exams etc
Like I mentioned limited time in college helped a lot to study for any other competative exams .
Friendly teachers made it easy for us to communicate

Dislikes

The campus is not as huge as other famous colleges
No placements and less intership opportunities
For every administrative works you will always have to stand in line for hours

Course Curriculum Overview

The course I opt is bsc cs so it is not that bad but b tech is better option for internship and placements the course curriculum is basic tbh and doesn't have any beneficiary cources like artificial intelegence

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 22500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I have paid rupees 22.5k yearly so for fyugp it will be less than 1 lakh rs during admission and registration stuff I merely paid more than 1k but for other cources it is comparatively low and there are benefits for the certain castes like SC ST scholarships are also there which are directly funded by govt and college administration

Campus Life

As I mentioned earlier the campus is pretty basic and I know others are enjoying but I am not enjoying in this college at all I'm not blaming the college.there are various clubs for students like sports club etc and the infrastructure is also pretty basic I would say

Admission

I chose this college as I was not getting admission on the colleges like nits iits as I messed my entrance exams compared to these colleges my college does not stand any near but I can't do anything now to get admission in my college you just have to register in samarth portal during admission time

Faculty

The college faculty is average they do teach us but some times I get bored I don't is it my problem or not my course is bsc cs so I have to study computer fundamentals discrete mathematics and c programming in one semester there will be 1 unit test and the end sem exam.

Night Life

I did not visited the college campus in night but I would say that it is definitely very basic as every lights shuts off and you will have to stay in hostels if you took it and barely anyone visit college at night gym cafeterias library every thing is closed by night so you will know how the night life is now

Likes

I like the infrastructure of our college.
Our college have enough rooms and halls to accommodate huge number of students
Digitalisation in teaching methods in all classrooms.

Dislikes

Toilet is still not clean as promised by our GS.
Lack of equipments in practical laboratories.
Cleanliness and hygiene are a bit off track.

The course prepares well for students as the acedemic results is always good which will make gratutides well equipped for jobs. Some sections of the course should be updated to meet the latest technology, more guests lectures and the interships should be provided to the students. The exams clustering of multiple exams should be within times which relases unneccsary stress, the exams are conducted easy to insane which is very challenging for the students.

Our department (botany) has well experienced and knowledgeable professor's who guided us both practically and theruotically which help us to gain knowledge at a faster rate
The most important thing is that our department always go for practical experience i.e.through trip.
The department often conducts seminars and guest lecturers

Dislikes

As a student of Aryavidyadpeeth college, it is very difficult to be part of our college,as the department is very popular
Due to high popularity, the college campus is very crowded, which sometimes leads to overcrowding
There is a very limited seats in hostel, the outstation students faces many difficulties to stay nearby the college.

All the faculty are very learned and helpful. They make an effort and are very invested in our progress
The infrastructure is very modern with multiple laboratories and conference halls. Construction work is going on for increasing the campus area and buildings
Apart from departmental libraries, the college boasts a central library with a large collection of books, articles and journals

Dislikes

Need for a separate parking area for students
Canteen and cafeteria space should be increased
Seat capacity should be increased in the common room

Firstly, we had to apply for respective departments which one wants to take an honours. Then ,cut off percent is taken out and students are given admission to that department as honours student.

Life at G.C College, Silchar

Apart from this college I also applied to Assam University, Silchar but the campus is too far from my home and Gurucharan college, Silchar is nearer to my home and due to that I chose my current college. To get admission in Gurucharan college, Silchar, you need to apply at samarth portal of Assam government first then after fullfilling all the procedures you can go to college website and take admission to in any of the desired course and if you missed the chance, at the end of July if seats are still unfilled the college starts an on-spot admission process where you have to visit college and on the basis of first come first admit they start admitting students until seats are fulfilled.
