My Experience at KUCET

We have less time to prepare for exams for Mid only one day as we have lectures going on till the day before Mid Term, The courses are pretty backward just like all other institutions in India, No Innovation or whatsoever. We have labs every week but not everyone can grasp what is going on, in electronics labs we have no idea what is going on mostly students are clueless unlike those toppers who want to be teachers pet. We are still learn old coding languages no intro to AI whatsoever.

In 4th Semester, a campus placement drive happens in the college many from the others campuses come here too, many seniors prepare for gate and other entrance exams, and as most of hem are hostelers they find jobs in their respective places and try to attend college meagerly in the last year, many seniors have suggested is to write upsc and other exams like afcat and others.

The fee structure is different considering the category they belong to some avail minority scholarship and some avail reservation benefits, the fee for exams have to paid by every student compulsory,.

We have awareness programmes every week, our college provides us with NCC and NSS programs, those who gets selected can join army or airforce later itseems, our library doesn't have chairs to study so we just grab and go, we have projector classrooms too sometimes we have lectures there, we have summer holidays for 1 month and other s holidays like festivals for Dusshera and Diwali etc.

I had a personal connection to the college, my grandfather studies here so I always dreamt of graduating from his university, it went on from a very long time in mind. So when I had to apply for EAMCET Counselling, I put around 70 weboptions in the first phase and got seat in KUCET Mechanical Engineering, then later in second phase I hurriedly put up web options and got into Malla Reddy College of Engineering, in Electronics and Communication Engineering, I didn't like the branch, so we applied for counselling in Final phase and my top priority colleges were KUCET, OU, JNTU and CBIT, but I got seat allotment in KUCET Mechanical Engineering , Even though the college was faraway from my place I thought I had no choice so I settled for whatsoever.

The Faculty are less I guess as they are handling heavy workload they have to take lectures for 2 to 3 branches along with ours everyday. We have 2 mid terms and have to submit records, observation books and assignments, we have 25 marks for every mid term paper and 5 for all others, they add those 30 marks in semester paper that is for 70 marks and overall grade us like that. The students are more in technical branches and less in branches like civil Mechanical etc.

We have a common gym in the playground, and all students can go there, we have only one canteen located infront of the ground , not many food items are available, many choose to buy from he bakeries infront of the 1st gate and 2nd gate, the cpus hostel is for girls only the gate closes at 9 itseems and opens at 5:30 we are not allowed to wander outside, as for the boys hostel hey have it beside the campus building the place is a village has nothing for buying neccesties too they have to travel 2 kms, that place is not that safe itseems, to roam alone but people still wander till midnight there they say.
