Likes

The Insfrastucture of my College is Good
The Teaching Staff is Good. Almost all the Lecturers are PHD Holders
The College Timing is Good. Generally from 9AM to 4PM

Dislikes

The College is not maintained properly. The is no cleanliness
Only 2-4 functions are done within a Year
There is no NCC (National Cadet Corps) in our college

Course Curriculum Overview

While studying 12th, I decided to take Computer Science and Engineering for further studies. So after the 12th, I took KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) and I got into CS Engineering at Government Engineering College, Mandya.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The Internship is provided by the College itself. The students can do the Internships provided by the college or they can even get internships on their own in various companies and then they should submit the report at the end. The Internship program will be in 3rd and 4th year.

Fees and Financial Aid

My College is affiliated to VTU. So in 1st year, the fees will be nearly 42000/- per year and for the 2nd year the fees will be 35000/- almost and for the 3rd and 4th years the fees will be around 25000/- and 20000/- respectively

Campus Life

The campus life is not so Good, It's Ok. As I said earlier, there are not many extracurricular activities done in my college. The infrastructure is good but not well maintained. Overall the college is OK OK

Admission

As I said earlier, I got Computer Science and Engineering in this particular college for my KCET ranking. So I choose Government Engineering College for my Engineering. The admission process is simple, take a printout of your Admission order in the KCET portal, and then go to the College and pay the fees in the respective bank they say

Faculty

The teaching faculties are Good except for some guest lecturers. The course is of 4 years. Each year consists of 2 Semesters, a total of 8 Semesters throughout the course. Each Semester is of 6 months and Each semester consists of 2-3 Internals and 1 Sem Exam. The Exam will be at the University Level.

Night Life

The are not many places near our college except the Historical place in Hosaholalu. After classes, the students will play sports on the college ground such as Cricket and Volleyball. And even students will study in the Library till 5 PM after their classes.

Other Applied Colleges

University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering - [UVCE] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Computer Science and Engineering)

UVCE is the one og the Top College in Karnataka but unexpectedly I didn't got the requied Ranking

A great place for learning and career growth

Placement Experience:

Excellent placement training and reputed companies visit the campus. I had received offers from three companies which reflects the quality of opportunities available. Placement is one of the college's biggest strength. Student with no backlog and good academic records will get easily placed.

My life at CMR - University

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects like: we had 2 internal exams in the semester and after completing these internal exams roughly at the 5th month we had practical exam + end semester exams, these exams would be mainly theory based inclusing some conceptual based questions & based on our understanding only, we can able to write the answers. One thing, I would suggest was we shall give more weightage to the practical based learning, that too during our days we were just the beginning of AI & Iot era was effectively going on, if we had some advanced eductaion covering these aspects we would have got the opportunity to shine more in our carrers. As a student, we faced slight diffuclities and challenges matching the real-life happenings with the acdemics, that would be one of the shortcoming I can say.

My campus life so far

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the curriculum is well planned, balanced and easy to follow. We start with the basics and along with theory there's a good amount of coding practice, assignments, and hands on learning. I like that the course isn't just about passing exams, it also focuses on building skills that will be useful later for internships and placements. So far it feels relevant, practical and not overwhelming for someone who's just starting out.

I would rate 5 out of 5. I specially enjoyed being involved in activities like ego and Rns, which made my college life more engaging. College provides good atmosphere, and I got good friendship in the college.

In our college placement training will be started from first semester only ..by 5th or 6th semester we can attend the campus selection So many companies are visited namely Infosys, wipro, accenture etc 12lahk will be highest i think also i dont know exactly and average will be 3.5lakh per year 70% of the students get placed by full filling the interviewers needs Im preparing for the civil services

One of the best colleges or universities for B Tech and pocket friendly

Placement Experience:

The College was there for more than 10 years , but there was only Post graduate courses available , like M-tech , Msc , etc. The College for B-tech has started just before 2 years , there are no batches which has been output till now. The students are also waiting to see the batches to get output and see the placements taking place. As a student I am also eager about the campus placements.
