Likes

Teachers teaching skill is awesome and easily understandable
Campus and class room are clean and beautiful and also the garden
College canteen is awesome.. almost all the necessary food are available

Dislikes

Girls toilet are not so good .. toilet smell very bad
Wifi connection are poor.. unable to used it

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because I want to be a banker and in my aim journey this course will help me. Also this course prepares me to face every difficult situation and to find a solution. since my aim is a banker so this course provides me a lot about banks .

Fees and Financial Aid

It is a nice college and teachers teaching is awesome...i am pursuing graduation and fees structure are divided into 2 sections one is free admission section and another is non free ..I am student under free section and I was pay total 3000 per year...another fees is payable during the exam i.e exam form fill up...other students under non free section they pay total approx 6000 per year.

Campus Life

The infrastructure is too good . college campus are clean. There is a big playground and parking area . overall it is a nice college. College canteen provides us different food at affordable rate. There is a common room for girls where we sitting and talk with friends during break time.

Admission

I choose this college because I choose commer stream and in my area one of the best college is gauhati commerce college. I choose this college over other because it is not so far from my home and commerce is best in this college .

Faculty

Faculty members are so good and kind..and their teaching skill is awesome.. hs commerce stream,b com ,m.com.,mba, and bca course are available in our college. In b.com ,per semester 2 exam are held one is seasonal and another is final

Night Life

It is a very safe area..there is a library, boys hostels , gym and many more... outside the college there is a many small medium restaurant. In this area there is many girls pg and boys pg..also many sports are available in the college i.e badminton, cricket, cycle etc .

Gauhati University: A Students perspective.

Likes

The networking and the contacts that GU provides.
Exposure to various aspects. Chance of self discovery
Great environment. Loved the campus. A great place to study also the Library and canteens. Connectivity

Dislikes

Too much pressure on students in certain cases.
Very slow processing of documents by the authorities
Very delayed results of all the semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is an integrated course where i will be getting a masters degree after completing 5 years. Only tezpur university provides this course other than GU. The curriculum prepares students mainly to pursue careers in academic fields and research fields. More practical aspects can be added to provide a holistic knowledge to the students. The exams are very well planed.

The environment is good peace' and calm .
The campus is good clean and good faculties
Reputed name , the courses are good overall feels good to be a part of this college

Dislikes

People's are arogants, egoistic , do nepotism.
Attendance matters then knowledge, if a student have less attendance in one subject also they don't provide them to give exam.
Lengthy course and less classes the professor completed the syllabus in just 2 months, they say the semester have 6 months but we are giving the finals in 3rd month!

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate it 7 cause lengthy course less classes, Exam timing are vast others colleges held there exam on the last month of the year but our college held there exam on the 3rd month of the semester overall not good

I applied to a lot of other colleges but those were all backup for me if I didn't get admission here . I applied in dispur college , kc das commerce college , guwahati college etc . We are admitted to colleges here using the samarth website. There are two merit lists provided by each college in the samarth website. I wasn't selected in the 1st merit list in gcc which ofcourse scared me a bit , but I got my names in the other previously mentioned colleges but I wanted to wait for the second merit list for which I had to hear a lot like what if I didn't even get my name on the second list of gcc . But I was sure I would get because my percentage was just 0.4% short from the cut off of the last merit list . I wanted this college because of emotional attachments + gcc has one of the best merits among all the commerce colleges in the entire northeast . Even this year in the toppers list published by gauhati university, 9 out of 10 students were from Gcc itself...Read More

I've applied to many other colleges in Guwahati city like KC DAS commerce College , Dispur College, but I have choosed this college at last, because this college is also known as the best college in the entire Northeast, so I have chooses this college.
