VIEWS ABOUT MY UNIVERSITY

Hostel food of University is not of very good type.All the Food Canteens remain untill 12PM. Guards of University are very strict sometimes they seem to be rude. University is overstrict sometimes. No one is allowed to get out of class before 12PM. Otherwise everything is good about university.

Here I am pursuing B.tech. Mechanical Engineering. Subjects which are taught here makes a good sense. Practical knowledge is so good. Workshops such as carpentry, welding, fitting, sheet metal etc took place during the first semester for Mechanical Students.All the subjects that are taught a really good.

Yes my University provides Internships. During last semester a student can apply for the internship in reputed company. University helps in all the ways that one can achieve success. University always stands with its students.

Best part of my University is about jobs and placements. Number of companies that visit for placements are huge. Good packages are offered to students. University helps in all the ways possible that a students gets placed during campus placements. In terms of placements CU is one of the best.

Tech fest takes place during march or april every year. Freshers party takes place during september. CU fest also takes place. This year in 2019 the cultural fest took place from 1st to 5th feb during which more than 30 universities took place.Many other events such as tashan nites take place.A students who studies here does not gets bored.

Fee here is neither very feasible nor very ver expensive. When I took admission in 2015 the semester fee was Rs.59000 but now thr fee has raised to more than Rs.70000. But the way of teaching is good so fee does not feel really expensive and placemets are also very good.

Here scholarship is available for both reserved and deserved candidates. For SC students 100 percent schorship is available. Family Income of SC students should be less than 2.5 lakhs.And theys should be the residents of Punjab ,Haryana and Himachal. Students those who have scored good marks in 10+2 also get discounts on fee.

Best part of CU is that they provide each and every facility that it might be labs or activities. All the games are there such as rugby, cricket, football,.and many extra curricular activities such as singing , dance, bhangra etc.Recently my University took partivipation in International bhangra competition in Canada.

Hostel in CU is very clean and tidy. Infrastructure is good.Rooms are airy An individual can opt for Ac room or a room with air cooler. Food of the hostel is average. Best part of hostel is safety. Hostel for girls and boys both is very safe.

Yes there is a website alumni.cuchd.in on which the pass out studengs register. Here all the students are connected to the University and one another. This site is very beneficial for all the seniors and juniors.

Exam structure in CU is good. Here before semester exams MST take place. MST takes place twice before exams. Here internal marks are out of forty and semester exam are of 60 marks.MST's are of 36 marks. It is easy to pass in exams.An individual gets passed in any subject if he scores more than the 35 percent of the topper.

I had heard about Chandigarh University before my 10+2 exams. When I was to give my JEE mains exam I got a brochure of CU. After some days I also got a call from CU in which they described about all the courses you can opt. I was surprised about all the placement programmes and Good infrastructure when I visited the University.

Faculty is very nice best part is that most of the professors and assistant professors are not very old aged. Here faculty understands all the problems of students.Problems are further solved. Interaction of faculty with students is also very good. Various sessions are held by senior faculty through which we can discuss all the problems. Overall all the professors are very good.
